Unsharp masking, or USM, is a traditional film compositing technique used to sharpen edges in an image. The Unsharp Mask filter corrects blurring introduced during photographing, scanning, resampling, or printing. It is useful for images intended for both print and online viewing.

Unsharp Mask locates pixels that differ from surrounding pixels by the threshold you specify and increases the pixels' contrast by the amount you specify. In addition, you specify the radius of the region to which each pixel is compared. The effects of the Unsharp Mask filter are far more pronounced on-screen than in high-resolution output.

Ok..i created a pallet for Micrografx Picture Publisher, i don't if it works correctly cause i don't have a t68i yet (coming next week).
Maybe someone can try it out for me?
Just copy the file in your "pallets" directory and then in PP go to image->convert->pallet color: there select custom and scattered and then select the "t68i Pallet".
t68iPall.pl3

(be sure to do the pallet conversion as the last step)

Aah!

I got the .act file, and loaded it up into my favorite imaging program - Macromedia Fireworks - and I have here what may probably be the fastest way to get good results on the T68i:

1) Take a pic into Fireworks...

If you want to make any changes to the pic etc, do them now.

If you put this file as-is into your T68i, it will look like this:

So ...

2) In the Optimise tab, under the gif type choose Custom and load the .act file mentioned in the posts above.

3) Set the "dither" percentage slider all the way up to 100...

4) Export the gif.

Voila!!!

FMA it to your phone and you're done!!!!!! Yaay!

Of course you can make the pic look better with a few more steps etc but this is probably the best trade-off of ease vs. quality!

Enjoy!

It should be the same, if it's not, I 'll make another one for t300

I tried using the t68 palette that all8 posted (thank you!) on a T300, and noticed that greens looked orange-brown. Does T300 have a different palette after all?

I've checked the T300 colour pallete again, they are the same as T68.
Your screen could be defective or your need to tweak the contrast settings.

Try loading picture below to your T300, It will display all 256 colours

Okay, I got that palette onto my T300 and had a look. The colors that were very bright on my computer monitor looked washed-out on the phone. Bright yellow, for example, looked to be a dull yellow-orange on the T300. Do other people find that to be the case on their phones?

New at this ... thanks for the help.

CRT and/or TFT-LCD Computer screen colour does not display the exact colour as of your T68. Both may use same colour code, they can display different colour to your eyes.
The same applies to colour TVs, every other brand TV displays slight different colours.
