Can anyone explain for me what this operation is good for?
When I press the power button the lock screen appears and I can login in with my PIN.
That´s the way I am used to and I want to keep going with.
I carry my phone with strava tracking application to track my jogging. When my fingerprint lay on the sensor during my run, it will auto trigger and vibrate which is not my intent and is annoying as well as waste of battery. So this solves it.

LOL frickin sumodigest works fast.
glad you got it working Tai!
I do not have to lift my finger up for it to scan after pressing the power button. but I do not get the little "buzz" every time it scans anymore. I kinda liked the haptic feedback but whatever. This is better than accidentally unlocking it.

I tested it a bunch of times after my last reply and you're right. I do have to lift my finger.

The 1VIII just arrived in Malaysia early this month. I'm waiting for the silver model to arrive before buying one. Currently, they have the gold model. According to them, this model is selling faster than the 1VII.

I keep forgetting I need to update my phone to the latest security patch but I also haven't gotten the notification on my phone yet. I wonder if it's because i'm in North America/US?
I believe others with the Japanese model got their system update notification for August, correct?

No system update notification for August. July is the latest for my Japanese model.
I guess the next security patch will be September.
My 1 VII Japanese received August today. June was the previous security patch.

The August patches have already been released for many variants. The Hong Kong and Japanese versions are still missing. Let's wait. |

Oh you guys are right. For some reason I thought I was behind on updates. Guess I'll wait until I get a notification and then flash it manually so I don't lose my modem policy file edits
