This is Nodar, you maybe remember him from over 10 years ago, he was a regular here on Esato.
He was banned due to spreading often false and exaggerated info. I am not saying he is wrong all the time, but we should be extra careful about anything he says. |

I'm also waiting for Xperia 1 mark8. My wife bought 1 mark7 and I can say the mark7 is the best Xperia 1 series so far. I hope mark8 will bring more.

Interesting take! I feel like I would really miss the 21:9 4K screen and other small features that have gone, like the notification LED.
I'm hoping the 1m8 goes beyond the 7 and shows love to sony fans, but I have a feeling we're gonna get expected upgrades in processor and camera and then just get a whole bunch more AI stuff thrown in there.
I hope to be pleasantly surprised. Sad there are no leaks yet but information has been scarce for a few years now. Guess we will have to wait until May before we know anything concrete.

I'm expecting an exterior redesign, if just to be consistent with the 10m7 Is it possible the camera array will be re-positioned horizontally across the top of the phone?

i wouldn't mind that with an increased bump to accommodate an better camera module. there's not a whole lot they can do to change the external design other than moving the camera module and buttons around.
i miss the old days when different form factors were being made and design language pushed innovation. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.
