I don't recall but does Sony have scheduled announcements like this for the 10 series? Seems like a big deal for budget mid-range phone.
As for the glass, makes me think of a new design element much like the stones we saw with the 1 series.
I would be pleasantly shocked if they released an android tablet. It would have be pretty special to sell though, so I would guess that's not gonna happen.

Maybe it is something a bit different as the changes in the 1 series brought a lot of attention. Could it be a special type toughened glass?

and moogoo correct, I checked, on twitter there was no teaser last year for the 10, just an announcement on sept 12th.

I'd even say identical, now sporting a glass like surface on the entire back of the device
notice how the Sony and NFC logos cast shadows, meaning they are printed on the top layer.

haha. can't blame the internet. the 10m8 didn't even deserve to be released from the looks of it. Especially after teasing an announcement event, to announce such a mediocre upgrade is a slap in the face to those who were actually looking forward to it.

I think it's in their roadmap. Xperia 10IV and 10V also uses same processor (snapdragon 695). |
