No big deal.
I just saw the phonearena review for the VII camera. they think it is terrible.
it baffles me that all the big review sites always give sony phone cameras such bad reviews.
are we really missing out? are we so biased cause we're sony fans? or are they the biased (paid) ones?

These are improvements compared to 1vi. Improvements throughout I can see less battery life which I suspect its because of the additional sensor behind and made display brighter/ more accurate.

Got a mail this morning that my preorder has arrived to Buyee Warehouse and now I just have to select shipping method and pay shipping cost. Will do it later today.
I found 1 VII 16GB/512GB on Amazon Japan, but they cannot ship to my delivery location in Sweden. 
The only color to choose for 16GB/512GB is orchid purple.
If you want a black or green, it´s 12GB/512GB or 12GB/256GB.

In recent years there has been a media campaign denigrating the smartphone sector of Sony. On every technology site I have heard bad things about the brand and its devices: unfortunately from people who had almost never tried the smartphones of the Japanese brand. Sony has always stood out for its unique vision, now it is giving in a bit to the various criticisms made by users of other brands, who not being accustomed to niche technology, are dragging the brand, alas, towards a blanding... |

what do they say about customs fees? I don't think they depend on them, but on the country of arrival. With wondamobile I was lucky not to have to pay them, honestly I expected them as always. |

That's great news! Sounds like you were able to get in the initial batch of manufactured units before the rush of orders.
I just watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30oxihl9HL4) and the official case looks pretty nice. especially considering it has the same color. too bad it's so expensive!

Customs fee to Sweden isn´t included in the shipping cost. Total shipping cost is ¥5,950 and that includes insured tracking, Buyee fee and domestic shipping fee. Estimated delivery time 7-8 days.
Custums fee, VAT and duty when it arrives to Sweden it will most certainly be as always.
I suppose I was fortunate to have placed my order for the initial batch.
The official case is very good. I have it in the same red color as 1 VI is. It also has a hole for a wrist strap, that i use.
Not that expensive, around $45. Already ordered a black this time from Sony store Sweden.

haha. $45 is a lot for a case! the spigen one I am looking at is $15 USD from amazon US.
of course it is basic TPU with no stand or anything. so there's that. it's a good case though.
look forward to your review of the japanese 16gb model!
I think I am going to go for the green color. i might spring for the official case too with the spigen as a backup.

obviously, that can't be true. google is always the first brand to implement new android versions on their phones. i would imagine samsung would be next since they have such a huge market share, they probably have been working on it for awhile now.
I would be happy if sony started pushing android 16 before the end of summer.
