More here at notebookcheck.net, along with some disparaging comments (I'm not exactly sure how the name 10 III confuses).

Thanks guys!

Looks like a very minimal change. I half expected a metal frame or matte back. Though looks better than 10ii with shorter height.
If they at least offer stereo this time, it'll probably be the only midrange that combine IP rating and stereo. Don't know what deal they did with Google but that assistant button is so unnecessary.

Unprogrammable GAB has to be a deal with Google where they get some discount or something.

"I don't have any details about the rear camera specs yet, but it is rumored to feature a 12MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens."

When was that in the rumors? Hopefully it's at least 5's main sensor.

Buks posted on weibo what as on internet about 10iii.
Someone answered twice saying "imx363 arrengement".

Sony should stop using old stuff.
363 is from 2018 or 2017.
With so many newer similar ones, why using an old?

Clearing out the inventory, due to demand by other manufacturers they probably have made the batch for dirt cheap.
Kind of hoped for quad bayer for main shooter due to target market but at this point it's obvious Xperia doesn't have the resources to develop parallel stuff. It's so obvious that midranger should be all about default image stacking sensors or software HDR but they hit the R&D bottle neck most likely with all the stuff they need to prepare for flagship spec.

Sony does not have interest in using quadbayer.
As said last year.
They can easily have acess to any sensor they want, just lack of interest.
They should give 557 to 10iii, same way XA1 got 300 from XZ.

I had chance to use one of those quadbayer sensors.
Motorola phone. I do not know if sensor was from Sony, Samsung or omnivision.
Those 48MP 1/2".

Too light sensitive. I was playing with shutter speed, even with shutter 1/4000s the whole photo was too overexposed.
I had to set 1/6000s or 1/8000s to have something similar my phone gives with 1/2000s.
Size difference between 1/2.3" and 1/2" is too little. Smaller than 1/2.3" vs 1/2.55" ...
Jpeg came out disgusting, had to test raw.
It was like everything was made out of wax.

Sony midrange is Sony's dumpster for spare parts bought in bulk but fell out of fashion.
First with SD630 now with 1/4" Samsung sensor.

I believe pixel 4a has imx363 too or something similar.
IPhone SE has 1.22ish pixels in its 12mp camera.
I think the smaller iPhones and P5 still use 1.4um pixel sensors.
If they use 1/2.55" that's quite an upgrade for 10iii.

With the price Sony's asking and the fact that they have only 3 devices that matter it would have been in their favor to use better sensors.
Performance in 10ii camera experience was quite bad too.

Could elaborate on the SD888 vs. Exynos2100 statement?

Article on eprice TW.
Battery endurance seen after using PCmark was almost 2x for SD.
Higher benchmarks as well.

Review of Phone Arena shows S21 and Ultra last less than previous devices.

There's an interesting detail regarding Verizon Wireless and Xperia PRO. Verizon just deployed n2 n5 n66 and n261 back in October of last year. This has certainly impacted launch of the PRO as Verizon is the absolute world leader in mmWave.

ATT had n5 since June but it's n261 just like Tmobile is only 100Mhz while Verizon's new deployment is 100-400Mhz. n260 has been on Verizon and Tmobile since 2019.

Mrwhostheboss did a battery test between the S21 Ultra, S20 Ultra, iPhone 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max.
The S21 Ultra came first with flying colors.
