When I saw that ad and the blue dot, I was very excited. Unfortunately that excitement turned into disappointment.
The blue color is not representative of the real Xperia 5 II's blue color.

what is it about?
By the way, a friend of mine who works for an online retailer told me pre-order of x5ii is about half of x1ii, which he said unexpected.
I personally think x5ii apeals to more users, thus sell more.

There were gossips about it using imx555 instead.
Because someone listed 5ii with it on wikipedia ...
If most choose 1ii over 5ii, more money for sony. 😁
Also tell us that 4K@60 > 1080@120, giant phone > big phone ..

I believe that design also plays a big part in purchase because personally I love the xperia 1II design more than the xperia 5II. The flat sides somehow more attractive than rounded sides.
One more point is that many people already purchased xperia 1II , then 5II announced. There's no point buying another mini xperia 1II isn't it? Unless you are die hard fan who knew Sony is going to make a smaller xperia 1II and willing to wait for it.

Thing is, Sony was expecting to sell more 5ii than 1ii.
This may end up different.
But of course, out friend info is about one store.
Does not mean it is going to happen everywhere.
Price of 1ii is still same since may.
This sounds to me sales are better than they imagined, otherwise price would be cut already. |
