nice comparison. though he's not much of an expert. didn't know that raw will be released as a software update. and didn't mention that his unit was pre-production. i suppose that is why the non-japanese reviewers have photo pro vs the japanese reviewers who do not have it yet.
I am contemplating whether I'll be preordering from an american authorized retailer or importing from the UK. Obviously, the biggest differences will be having a warranty. I'm curious whether the american version will have different 5G bands or simply have its 5G taken away since the stated 5G supported by the 1ii aren't available here...
hopefully more becomes clear in the coming weeks!

all have mmWave implemented. Some are implementing sub6 but it's not a full rollout nationwide. even so, not sure if sub6 bands implemented by US carriers will be supported anyway.
I am fine with 4G LTE. There's also plenty of wifi hotspots where I live so it's not a big deal. The real issue is whether I want to spend $1200 ... ha.

yea he's hype about the 1ii.
incorrectly states the free gift are the headphones instead of the ear buds... though i guess it's not incorrect for all markets.
looking forward to more in depth reviews of the camera and video functionality. what i care about are that the AF works as advertised, night photos are improved, and video stabilization are good with good detail/quality.
curse you sony. why couldn't you stick with $1000 price tag? $1200 will definitely make a lot of people shy away...

$1000 was the initial price of S20 128GB.
How can Sony charge $1000?
Only cpu adds $90 to bill of materials compared to 1.
I do not know how much it costs to be made, but I would not be shocked if it costs at least $150 more than 1.
I think he has prototype device.
He is in Canada, I think he does not know USA gets buds. |

i know there's a lot of talk about the 20fps burst on the 1ii, but i know my XZP can do burst too, though i'm not sure if it's quite 20fps and definitely isn't autofocused for every single one..
i'm curious how well the focus adjusts with a moving subject or action shot.. the samples look promising, but i really wish i could see it in my own hands!
i have a month to decide if i want to preorder this badboy.... decisions decisions. hope there will be more in depth reviews out soon.
