X1 purple is much better.
Now looks like you mixed 1/3 cup of grape Fanta with 2/3 cup of water.
Or cheap grape juice.
If they had announced 5 II too instead of waiting september , could be a great move.
S20 is about $1000. Mi10 (non-pro ) 256GB is 900 euros.
But in september, these phones will be lower than 800 euros.
While 5 II will be full price. And who knows how much ....
This looks like a tv add of 10II.
I dont think it is sony germany official (only 74 subscribers).
Phone looks much better than in photos.

The purple is my favourite. Subtle and understated.

Just as curiosity.
If the top/bottom bezels and sides of 1 II were applied on Z Series:
Z3c : 11,52 cm x 6,34cm
Z3 : 12,85cm x 7,09cm
Z5P: 13,51 cm x 7,46cm
Z Ultra: 15,5 cm x 8,58 cm

One thing that I'm very curious of, X1 used dual MIPI lanes for display connection and that was what caused higher power consumption than on Samsung or OnePlus (based on Anandtech review's).
Considering bigger battery and higher power consumption of modem it's interesting if Sony tweaked the screen connection on X1mII to make it more efficient and in return improve battery life.
This is something only very thorough review will answer but still an interesting unknown IMO. |

Not fair to compare power use of screen with different resolutions.
Of course 4K will use more, no matter how efficient it may be.

Yes and no, we have to take into account the needed bandwidth and considering that OnePlus was able to use only one MIPI lane on their 90hz screen at 1440p resolution there is room for some modifications in order to improve power efficiency.
Actually, 90hz OnePlus 7 pro needed more bandwidth to drive the screen than 60hz 4k X1. That is why I asked that question, cause I'm curious if Sony worked on improving power efficiency or not.

Imagine this phone in gold or mirror like Z5P.

Anyone has lately found any info on price?
I hope it is not like S20 Ultra.
But when I hear people from Pictures, Music and Alpha helped to make the phone, this sounds expensive to me.

Now I am confused.
They advertise as 1.8 micron. Where did you get this info?
Cirrus Logic you mean is the audio chip?
Except he battery time we have no idea how much it lasts and audio quality from headphones all cons pointed by gsmarena for 1, were fixed.
- Audio jack, 4K60, night mode , UWA with AF, Qi and wifi6.

If true all I can say is CS35L41 is the state of the art digital amplifier on par with Sony inhouse Walkman stuff. |

4K60 is useless on any phone cause of dropped frames and agressive software interpolation that tries to fix the issue. Also level of detail comes in question. Phones still lack processing power for such thing. I won't be using it for the same reason I don't use 1080/60, there is no HDR/HLG option. What makes all the difference in this world is recording in HLG. Gammut is so wide that non HLG videos can't come close to HLG shot videos even if shot on same device. My XZ2 still wipes the floor with iPhone whenever I watch the video on big 4K screen. There is no comparison, I don't know how I would describe it, there is simply lack of color on iPhone and everything is so super saturated. Keep in mind that HDR/HLG doesn't work properly with interior fluorescent lighting and with some street lighting as everything turns that's yellow turns green |

At least one thing less to point as con and reduce score.
If battery can do more than 89h, no way they give less than 4,5.
5 was given 4,4.
Gsmarena have pointed that many phones have 1080@60 with lower quality than 1080@30.
Also 4k60 softer than 4k30.
I do not know how it's possible but P40 Pro does 4k60 with half bitrate of 4K30 instead of being almost 2x like other phones.
But 1 II does 4K60 HDR HLG (of course dxo will test 1080@30 and say there is no EIS for 4K again, LOL !!!!).
Cinema Pro only does HDR HLG, unilke regular app you can choose.
Curious to see what Sony is doing, because Xperia already has high bitrate 52-56Mbps even for 4k30 SDR.
In this case, 4K60 would be bit over 80.
