Looks like the 12GB for China is real.
Price would be about $1000. |

But from his last sentence to tell people to wake up it seems like having typo meanings to it -
1. Wake up from your dream
2. Tell people to make their selection proper. |

as much as i love this screen.. i get a color shift to a greenish hue at wider viewing angles. not even that wide really. i would say the color shift begins as soon as 45 degrees off center. is anybody else experiencing this or do i have a faulty unit?
i know a lot of OLED screens have this issue, if not all. just wondering if mine is particularly bad compared to others who have it.

Same here...but nothing to worry about, it's normal, even my xz3 (which is an oled as well) do that but to a lesser extent than the X1II though |

thanks for the reply. sounds good. i wasn't too worried about it cause it looks fantastic straight on. just wondering if my color shift was particularly bad compared to others. but seems like it's just how it is with these screens!

@moogoo
The only bug that I found has to do with sound, any video recorded with the camera app or cinema pro (but with the latest at least you can adjust the mic sensitivity) will have a noticeable hissing sound during playback if Dolby Atmos is on...with the setting off, the hissing is gone...
3.5 mm 5 conductors audio jack headphones are not supported (too bad as I have an excellent pair of Sony headphones that are obsolete now) but the wireless wf-1000xm3 that came with the bundle are excellent (and they have their own equalizer through the additional headphones app...)
And on a final note, the screen should be brighter in direct sun light, because frankly using the photo pro app outside with a screen that dim is pretty hard š...hopefully a future software update might bring some good (I remember that with the xz3 the screen brightness was affected after the transition to Android 10 from Pie...went from good to bad, so if they can do the opposite with this one, it would be more than welcome)
Other than that, this phone is solid and it kinda reminds the looks of my old Z5P

How's power output of 3.5mm port ? Does it better than previous Xperia ?
Also 3.5mm 5 conductors audio jack you mentioned here is those with Noise cancelling right ?

Totally agree with the brightness. Best you can do is set to maximum brightness and turn on adaptive brightness. (But I quickly turn adaptive brightness off unless really sunny situation ). |

Yeah those 5 conductors are noise canceling ones...I think I got them as an upgrade freebie back in the days with my Z2 or Z5P (can't recall anymore) and I've been exclusively using those since with every phones that I owned, but the X1II put an end to that š...so I only tested the audio jack once with the generic headphones that came included in the box, power output is pretty good, especially in conjunction with Dolby Atmos...other than that I've only used the wf-1000xm3 from the bundle which are excellent sounding I must say...

I'm always on adaptive brightness...but isn't the maximum manual value similar to the maximum adaptive value...if not, I've then mislead myself all those years š

Nope. Surprising right. Ditto for Xperia 1 and 5. The brightness level of adaptive brightness is even higher than manual maximum.

Thanks! please report back on your spigen screen protector when you get it. based on what I've seen, it seems to be a full adhesive screen protector and the included application guide makes sure it fits perfectly. i may have to see if i can get one from europe through ebay or if a kind soul would like to help me out
ItĀ“s a perfect match and it is a full adhesive screen protector.
Luckily I bought 2, since I failed with the first. CouldnĀ“t get rid of air bubbles and there was also a grain of dust.
With the second I had air bubbles too, but I pressed and pressed and finally all bubbles were gone.
I will order another to have in reserve.
Do you want me to buy one or two for you?

The air bubbles will likely gone after one or two days. Don't worry. Unless where's dust inside, you should not worry. |
