Title is : Not just the new Xperia !? Is 2020 the year of flagship earphone jack revival?

I think this specs belong to another phone.
Does not make sense Sony putting stuff to protect battery from QC damage, then put 65W..
Faster charging reduces number of cycles battery can give.

Faster charging doesn't reduce the number of cycles. That's a myth.

Letting your battery drain completely can damage the new typed of batteries.

Yes..... Because that is exactly what sony says why they started using qnovo.
To keep it healthy for longer time.
Qi too, because it makes phone hotter compared to usb charging.

Those brands trying to use 60, 70 or 100W for sure will get paid to replace battery within 1 year.
This will be issue as long all use Lithium.

i can cherry pick articles too.

https://www.cnet.com/how-to/s[....]ast-charging-and-overcharging/

there's a difference between typical fast charging that we know of and the research scientists are doing. the fast charging like quick charge tech has the 2 phases discussed on that page. the scientists, on the other hand, are not applying 2 phases and are simply blasting away at batteries.

so no - quick charging won't destroy your battery. i've had my phone for 3 years and my battery is fine. it lasts about as long as it always has and i use quick charge every night.

it's easier to destroy your battery by letting it drain to zero as a consumer.

No surprises there. But only enhanced camera system sounds less impressive. Like there's only minor changes

Agreed.

I have owned a a Huawei P30 Pro with 40W charging for almost a year now and the battery still manages to get me upwards of 9hours SOT with over a Day worth of usage. I have not seen any degradation in battery, in actual fact I have seen an improvement in Battery Life since getting Android 10 late last year.

The mixture of Big Battery and Fast Charging helps to, i usually charge my P30 Pro every second day so there are less cycles to, thanks to the fact that the battery lasts longer and charges in such a short time.

Like we expected. Leaked render could be Japan only but the other info says "2020 flagship won't come for a while"🙄

Can't believe Sony will do this again.

do what again?

you guys are too funny. you and hawk especially.

sony will announce at mwc and it will likely be available late april/early may, as usual.

whether or not that's "a while" is relative.

it's nice to discuss rumors and see leaks and renders, but nothing's official til it's official. no need to get your panties in a bunch over speculation and rumor.

Well I am speculating if it's allowed, thank you. Sometimes things are more likely and I am capable of analyzing leaks and rumors for myself. you yourself say how they announce and wait for release. That's what I'm talking about. Don't patronize me. I don't have to say "if that's real" every time I am talking about rumors.

Speculation is allowed. But you aren't speculating. You're assuming, which is also allowed. I just think it's funny how you two tend to take every tidbit of information, no matter the source, and run with it like the gospel. You guys single handedly have filled 90% of this thread.

While I appreciate you guys digging up info and keeping the thread active, I'm just commenting on what I thought was an overreaction based on an assumption that some comment of "awhile" meant something new or different from Sony's usual release schedule.

*Shrug* continue.. I'll go back to lurking

Comment was based on what they have done for few years.
X Performance, XZ Premium and Xperia 1..
All from MWC but shipped in late may/june.
Then anyone would expect same again.
Like someone said here , production starts after MWC to avoid leaks.

I bet we will see the specs of iphone 12 and pixel 5 before sony phones.
🤬🤬🤬

I wanted to know what's the smallest phone Sony could make without cutting things because size limitations.
You see comments of people that want phone with less than 15cm...
