Don't put your hopes up too high for Sony Xperia 1, i don't know what their real problems are but they still make half-hearted efforts just as they first made their Android phones.
When other manufacturers put the latest and greatest technology on their phones, Sony can't even put their best sensors and lens on their phones.

I won't blame their semiconductor business for selling them to Huawei or Samsung. Thing is business is business. Sony's mobile phone will not reach the same volume of sales as Huawei or Samsung in a month let alone in years.
Sony semiconductor can't just simply allow itself to be dragged by the falling sales of Sony mobile. |

I suspect Xperia may exit the Canadian market soon, their mobile site is not updated for any new devices, only showing xperia XZ2, while US xperia site showing the new xperia 10 and a banner for xperia 1.
Their twitter was closed down, supposedly joining US xperia twitter, but dobutful, I feel this is the beginning of the end for xperia in Canada. Will people care? probably not, I don't think I've seen anyone with an xperia in the past year.
