Is this the IFA flagship? Is it also 4K screen? 5G model? |

Zack was talking about Japanese carrier versions, if Google translate is accurate.
10+'s camera review from gsmarena makes me doubt x1' s capabilities. I think it will be only on par with the galaxies, won't surpass them. |

10+ has worse hardware.
No bionz X.
Different spectra.

I wish Sony made something like the Galaxy s10e. That is the new king of compacts.

Wow, are you crazy. Calling the s10e a compact. That phone is quite a lot bigger then xz2 compact, wich is a lot bigger then xz1 compact. I own the xz1c and I feel its too big. |

Someone went to Sony support page to ask about the isocell camera.
They said they are not going to talk about this subject. |

XA2 Ultra don't hv it either.
The price of 10/10+ are lower than XA2/U/P. Switching from IMX to ISOCELL will differently affect the imagd quality. However, do ppl really care about it. I doubt. |

I know there's no bionz but older flagships also had bionz. It's only software. 10+ has hardly any improvement over the Xa line. And it's not like they are cheap.

At around 6.45 it shows a slide comparing the xz3 and the X1. Xz3 seems brighter but X1 sharper.
He goes on to showcase eye af but the demo unit does not seem to keep the eye or the face in focus.
I wonder if this is the bug Zack talked about. |

I think you're wrong, at around 6.45 it shows slide comparing the Xperia 1 with camera ui in video and the other Xperia 1 with cinema pro app |

I think most will use binning to 16 or 20MP.
One or two may choose downsampling.

Maybe they were just showing nr capability, not the final image. But the girl's portrait is straight out blurrier.

it's hard to compare detail levels with youtube, it compresses video a lot and different phone screens can make an effect also.
but 4x more sensivity then xz3, a little exaggerated to me.

They just forgot to mention that with different sensor size the crop factor changes to.
Smaller sensor needs bigger aperture to grab same light amount.
They are very smart, they compare against XZ3.
Why not XZ2 Premium?
No way 1/2.6" + f1.6 lets more light in than 1/2.3" + f1.8
