(^_^) More good news for some and bad news for others. My uncle said that sony will launch in the next months Xperia 4. This xperia will be relatively compact, but will not be global model.

If this phone too had a 21:9 screen and it was to be truly 'compact' then the screen might be too thin to be able to use comfortably. 16:9 with slimmer top and bottom bezels than the Z3 Compact would be the way to go IMO. Oh, and a metal frame.

Well I will say that the Xperia 1 is the first flagship where I haven't heard a single complaint about bezels. Looks like Sony's finally put that behind them.

Could they at least just sell 2019 phones in Singapore or Thailand? I'm really scared to purchase a phone with a warranty from non-SEA countries. I'm already scared about my XZ2 now (it has a thailand/singapore warranty).

Sadly for many of us the only choice is Ebay.
XZ3 here was first IFA flagship missing. If you dont consider the compacts...

Maybe if sales start to get better they decide to come back in the future.
I hope they can at least keep between 15-18 million/year.

Does the 1 have also 64Gb version or just 128?

I've seen multiple sources say there's a 64GB variant of the Xperia 1. Maybe it's regional?

I do wonder how long it'll take Sony to integrate Light's camera tech into their phones.

Even gsma states 64Gb version, but the global english page says 128Gb.
I havent found info on 64Gb.

This agreememt with Light could be a sign they know pocket cams are doomed.
I think more than 4 rear cams too ugly.
If u make a square with wide, uwa, mono and tele with flash/laser af above would look cool.
Nokia 9 rear panel is ugly, look like multiple eyes of a fly.

Yup, Sony should be making a ton more money if each phone comes with at least 4 cameras on the back

At least The Verge seems to believe this deal also means Sony Mobile will be getting this tech:

I can't say I've seen many other articles claim that Sony themselves will be implementing this tech in their phones

10+ camera samples are on Reddit.

Seems like both the front and tele cams are using Samsung sensors.

Usually the 12MP 1/3.4" are isocell.
I hope the other cams of 1 are not.
Isocell are cheaper and weaker.

Why should sony rely on Samsung for image sensors?
