XJ, how sure are you about this?

So no new xperia with 4G-only device coming up at MWC? If so, it's kinda disappointing

I believe XA3 series support 4G Just like XA2 series

So that means another just an average Sony flagship which does not specially stands out coming to MWC. At least we can lower our expectations so we do not get disappointed like always. Thank you tonylcc.

Story is the same over and over, year by year. "Next" Sony flagship gonna be killer!

Sensor skills depends on the tech, pixel size is not that important.
Newer sensors are always better.

220 is 1.2 micron, 300 is 1.12 or 1.08 micron.
The 300 is better sensor than 220.

Look at their Alpha.
7s2 is 12MP, 7r3 is 42 and 9 is 24MP.
7r3 pics look better than 7s2 at 12MP, even with pixels almost 4x smaller.
No binning is used.

Pixel 1 uses 1.55 micron, the other use 1.4.
Moto G5+ uses 1.4, G7+ uses 1.2 or 1.12.

And 666 is Quad Bayer .. ✌️
The are gossips that it might be 1/1.5 instead of 1/1.8.
Sadly, almost 3 weeks left ...

Algorithm is important as well

if you compare XZ1 with XZ2, they are using the same sensor, just not the same algorithm

Algorithm is most important. Just look at Google Camera, it instantly makes any phone that can install (port) it - the phone that currently has the best photo quality available in mobile phones world, regardless the sensor inside.

Sadly, Sony has the worst algorithms and software even though they have the best sensors.

I was referring to the XZ4, maybe midrange devices at Christmas for obvious reasons.

Whatever the name is there is/will be a 5G variant in places that expect to roll out that tech in the very near future otherwise it'll be 4G elsewhere for obvious reasons.

lol

this happens every year. it's like the anticipation and rumors just drives people mad and they get a little crazy.

Not much longer to wait now fellas... just calm down. breathe. all will be revealed in time.

I'm guessing that "xa3" device that was leaked in that vid yesterday will be at MWC. perhaps we'll see something else. I personally don't think it is the true flagship for the year. I feel like sony's been a lot better at releasing phones sooner after announcement. XZ2P had a delay, but other than that, I seem to recall the others being released within 1-2 months after announcement. I haven't been tracking that closely so maybe i'm wrong.
