You can pay royalties to use a technology from someone else.
But who owns it will charge how much they want.
Sony is not willing to pay Apple.
Nor disable again in North America.
Apple is too greedy. It is better for Sony Mobile to stay away.
Every year a new company states lawsuit against Apple.
The whole modem story, they don't want to pay Qualcomm the amount Qualcomm asks, but how much Apple believe it is worth.
Person from AndroPlus said L3 has Mediatek Helio P22.
Same of Xiaomi Redmi 6.
Helio P22 is octacore A53 2 GHz, 12nm, the gpu is PowerVR GE8320 650 MHz.
It can handle up to 20:9 ratio HD+, 21MP single cam or 13 + 8 dual cam.
Bluetooth 5.0, video recording 1080p 30fps.

Is not about you, its about Sony. They care about the patent. If they had a choice they surely would have designed power and FPS together same as XZ series. |

I don't know who approved XZ2's design but even the president didn't really like it and it isn't successful design so... bye bye

Even Phone Arena like design of XZ3, except FPS.
So, they don't like but post videos and interviews to say it is the most comfortable phone ever.
Made to fit in your hands perfectly.
Front of XA3 is same of Xz2.

Yes... They almost nailed the design element with XZ3... The only design parts it lack are more on technical side like no dual cam or unable to fps on side... Almost every online media has praised the design. It's the most comfortable design yet. I really love how the phone curved from front to side to back and also from top and bottom.
A new design team is most welcome but in which direction will they go is what matters more... |

BTW what I learn is SONY Mobile always make Xperia's design one year ahead of it actual release date.
So the design of next Flagship might still come with ambient flow design.
Still the design improvement is expected for sure especially the FPS position.
