I think it's a great Sony.
But I would retain more of a Sony style....
Still, the most beautiful phone out there.

Well, my Z5 Compact is on its last legs, so i dived in and ordered a new XZ2 in silver, coming with a PS4. Gets delivered before the 6th of April. Can't wait.

I would get it - it's a great phone.
But they downgraded front facing camera which I don't get at all.

I'd imagine it's still good enough for selfies. I know I won't miss the headphone jack.

Image sensor with only 1/5" size, focal aperture of only f/2.2 and fixed focus... No, this is not a good selfie camera !!! |

Hey, I bought the xz2 on ebay a few days, silver version, I must say it's a looker, reminds me a bit of the Z3.
The last high end Xperia I had was the Z5 premium, and current phone XA1 ultra.
After 5 days, the plus are:
- great screen
- good battery, more than 2 days with 4 hours screen on
- great sound from speakers
- super speedy interface and very nice and neat!
- Apps fly
The less good things:
- boy it's heavy (coming from XA1 ultra!) first comment made by friends
- always afraid to drop the phone, it is slipery but also weird to hold (even though it sits well...)
- camera photos nice but not that nice (I'm not picky) but the auto mode keeps going to soft skin!!
- the vibration used once...
- FRS is awkward at first, but eventually i got used to it, but always need to hold the phone 
happy to answer any questions you may have

Pre-orders started in the Middle East.
Costs almost BHD 280/€595/$742/£521.. but it includes a Sony Bluetooth Hi-res headphone & a 3 months subscription in a local music service. the bundle alone cost BHD 76/€161/$200/£141.

Looks like the S9+ beat the XZ2 hands down, also the S9+ is only slightly bigger than XZ2....like what the hell? Do work experience kids design and engineer Sony flagships this year or what? Fire them all immediately and yes, I can do better before anyone asks. |
