Just saw TechnoBuffalo's review of this phone. They gave it 2.5/5. I've never seen anything as ridiculous as that so far. What a pile of garbage.
They also called 3D Creator is a ripoff of AR Emoji and Animoji, what a piece of ****. They liked DVS, even though it is nothing but a gimmick. They sure loved gimmicks.
Don't get me wrong, I love XZ2's vibration motor.

New update, 51.1.A.4.225 brings june security patch and something else which made typing better. (I use the good old Xperia Keyboard)

By the way, I don't know if all of you who have this phone realise or feel this, but I compared how comfortable this phone compared to my old Z3. Because of how thin the XZ2's frame really is, it strangely feels thinner than my Z3, because it is only thick in the middle, and it also feels really comfortable (I can't stop saying this). People should really try to hold this phone before judging how thick this phone is.

Damir Franc says the same on his YouTube review, he is a honest guy in his assessment. The problem is that on face value certain things are really off-putting like the FPS position, average guy will ask why the bezels and where is the dual camera. Also, finding the XZ2 in a shop is tough even in London, you get swamped with Samsung and iPhone. |

Well lack of the second camera or lack of super thin bezels doesn't make it objectively worse phone.
The real contact with it is actually saying the truth.

You're right but the S9 and iPhone X are eye-catching because of the screen so then people won't look at the XZ2 or try it. It is what it is.
I watched the Matthew Moniz water test, XZ2 survived while S9+ and iPhone died. Function ahead of looks always, you can't take advantage of brand loyalty like that. Lawsuits incoming. |

I need to replace my XZ so I played around with the XZ2 today. It's a beautiful phone, and it sits perfectly in the palm of my hand. It is much bigger than I expected but still OK in size and weight and the bezels are also OK.
The phone has only one deal breaker for me and it's not the thickness or the bezels or the size or the lack of top bottom symmetry or even the lack of the 3.5, it's the FPS on the back, OMG guys like WTF were they thinking? 99% of the tries I put my finger on the camera lens, even while the phone rested in my hand my finger was on the camera lens.
So now I'm facing a problem I didn't face for over 15 years, I need a new phone and I don't know what to buy...
The S9/S9+ are almost perfect but have 2 deal breaking flaws, the volume buttons on the "wrong side" and the stupid bixby crap...
The XZ2C is simply too fat. |

In reverse, I was playing with XZ2C yesterday and I was in love with it.
The screen, however beeing more narrow, is as high as my XZ1, but the footprint is much lower...

Bit the bullit and got myself an XZ2 today, was going to wait for the Premium but they aren't selling here in Oz and I don't want to get it imported so got the next best thing. 😀
