So, if true, then the main thing we have to look forward to for MWC is a device showcasing the new design language, which will be seen on all subsequent 2018 phones.

I just hope that they keep a 16:9 aspect ratio, no round corners, and no curved edges...... After using an S8+, not being able to use the full screen for videos are a bit annoying, and due to the curve edges I can't get a good glass protector(without paying an arm and leg that is).

I think they should bring just the midranges in H1 2018.
Phones to replace XA1, XA1+ and XA1U.
Then the Trinity at IFA, with new IMX and other stuff.

So, they FCC file is probably the winter Flagship.

Is it 5.2" FHD?

It seems Sony will have an interesting smartphones next year. I really hope people won't have to wait until fall next year.

Anyway, I am very impressed with how fast the software upgrades from Sony are. I like the new features of Xperia Home (xperia phone's UI interface). However, I notice that it is missing two ui elements from Oreo: the ability to change icon shapes and white notification tray. I love Xperia Home and I believe it is the best out there. But i think having these two options will give users even more ways to customize xperia launcher.

Also, it would not hurt to remove the Apps button and introduce a swipe up touch gesture instead anywhere in the whole bottom row (just in that area not the whole screen) to access the app drawer. Having an Apps button makes the UI launcher a liitle bit outdated.

I really hope Sony can implement these changes. These are easy to implement in my opinion

You are very lucky.

Just tell me this - is the new design radically different than what we have now or
the new design is slight modification of current omnibalace design? I'm cool with bazeless omnibalance design.

The design is different but still recognisable as a Sony which is great.

I am excited just like everybody here.
But I hope all the work in 2018 translates to better sales.

The 2017 phones are better than the 2016, even cheaper.
But sales remain kinda same.
