Galaxy S9 won't be 4K, its going to be a shrunk Note 8 without the pen but with new Exynos and even smaller bezels.

So perhaps first:
4K OLED HDR display
Dual camera with super slo-mo
Super duper slo-mo at 1000 fps
1080p super slo-mo recording
Sensor with RAM and curved lens
3D scan with live avatar
Thinnest display
Phone to cost over £1500

Tell me if I'm close.

And snap 845 is said to have an npu in it.
So sony is not going to fall back in that aspect either.

Isn't it too early to expect an OLED from sony.
If they bring one its going to be awesome.
What will the sony haters do now ?

I meant 4K HDR capture buddy. I thought moe is talking about the vid capture.
Well regarding these world first to be honest I have no solid info what will they be. Just that one will be camera related. That's all I know at the moment. Hope I can get more info soon.

BTW not suggesting Sony will use sharp OLED panels but just for you guys insight sharp stated that they are ready to produce mobile OLED panels starting this month. Pilot line has already seen successful yield rate.

True, specially the super slow motion...

we need more time with the 960fps feature, and it's better to be implemented while actually shooting video with a tap.

and make the 720p/1080p@480fps standard for long slowmo recording

FYI ... all, just about all, camera lens (any worth their salt and R&D $ spent) have curved lenses. That's how they focus. Not really a selling point unless the lenses mechanically move to achieve pure manual zoom.

Sony sure is tight lipped.. Havent even had a single reliable pic of the flagship

Exciting isn't it?!!

I don't recall Sony being this tight lipped since prior to the original Xperia X1 was launched and Android was announced. I recall then kicking and screaming and cursing they didn't stick with UIQ/Symbian OS yet it was a very smart move. recall back then Android was horrible so it was being sold on a prayer and it was answered very well done.

Well my friend told us that 4K60 fps and FHD super slow motion will be on the new phones in last years thread. I don't think those two are the camera innovation the source has in mind. Though I might be completely wrong.

@josephnero

My bad, I meant curved sensor:

I'm actually interested for MWC this time round, particularly the reduced bezel design.

Personally I'd rather see a ToF sensor than a curved sensor in the flagship

They have a new tof sensor.

"The most immediate impact from TOF sensors, which will be fabricated at Sony’s factories in Kyushu, will probably be seen in augmented-reality gadgets."

GSMArena says Samsung has now a patent to have front camera beneath screen.
Nodar said twice ( first time before IFA) Sony was planning the same for 2019/20.

If they do it first, get all credits....

Possibly an older phone or maybe new but this appeared on the fcc

PY7-37030I

Oddly enough the label location pdf states this:

Label location:
The label information will be put into the User Manual as in the label declaration
letter.
For the FCC 15.19(a) statement will also be included in the User manual due to device
size.

To whom it may concern,
We, Sony Mobile Communications Inc., hereby declares that the FCC ID will be included in
the User manual as accepted by the FCC in advance through KDB inquiry.
It is not practical to indicate the FCC ID on the product itself due to the shape and material.
For details and KDB responses, please refer to the technical description.
For the FCC 15.19(a) statement will also be included in the User manual due to device
size.

Hmm wonder if this is any new high end device or the just announced models?
