My experience of Samsung phones are that they can get laggy but they have raw power so once you start fiddling or change to a different launcher, it works better. Back in the day, RAM management was pretty poor so you'd have to reload many apps but that was S5 amd S6 days. I've been reading reviews and it looks good but I never believe the battery tests, I had an S7 from work and it would die before my work hours finished.
As for updates, 7.0 has broken my Z5 so much so that I'm using a billion third party apps to cover for the all the buggy Sony apps. Battery is pathetic now and the Video app....what an absolute garbage app.

My S7 Edge does a great job, this must be the worst I have had, 6hours SOT, it usually can get up to 9hours, I posted those 9hour SOT screenshots in the S7 Edge thread.

Great review by Flossy Carter, he didn't seem convinced by the S8 and S8+ and then he actually used them and was blown away, I like it when reviewers keep it as natural as possible. Up until he used the S8 he was a huge Google Pixel XL fan, I think we all go through this when our perception of a device gets changed when we finally use it

that is hilarious, they should just disable the whole thing, I doubt many will use it anyway!
Continuing with the good news, Samsung have managed to deliver many preorders earlier than expected, I can even confirm that here in South Africa most networks now have stock of both S8 and S8+ and many in the local forum I visit already got theirs between Wednesday and yesterday , take note Samsung told us they will only launch it here on the 5th of May yet here we are in April already the phone is available globally  some Phone Manufacturers have a lot to learn from Samsung.

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have finally launched. Although, Samsung’s claiming the handsets are only available in four markets — Canada, Korea, Puerto Rico and the United States — but that’s not technically true, as customers all over the globe started receiving pre-orders as early as Wednesday.
