It was only a matter of time.
Netflix to offer 4K HDR support for the XZ Premium
So that's Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube offer 4K streaming for the XZ Premium so if there's still any doubters out there that say there's no content available you need to give your head a shake.

Its along time since I posted on here, although I still visit daily..... old habits die hard!
I have just picked an XZ Premium up after using a Windows Mobile phone as my handset of choice for the last few years, and still continue to own one even though it would appear that ship has now sailed.
Like a lot of other people I have always had a couple of handsets and bought this to go along with my recently purchased MI MIX and Lumia 950XL.
I have to say that it is an excellent handset. I have none of the problems reported by other people, the reception on 4G isn't great, but have to say that it clings to 4G (showing 1 bar) where the other two I own will revert to 3G and that's a bonus. Many people have reported an issue with camera distortion, mine appears to be as good as can be expected and although I prefer my 950xl for picture taking it is still very, very good, as can be seen on the pictures a few posts back by XperiaJunkie, admad and moogoo.
The build quality appears to be excellent on my black version and has a nice weight to it and feels substantial, although a case is a must, it is very slippy, rather like my MI MIX.
If anybody is looking for a top end Android handset, this is the one to go for.

Ordered my Skinomi screen protector today. Fortunately the screen is still in pristine condition, but I figured I might as well take action now and not tempt fate any longer. I am hoping that the Skinomi is better at handling fingerprints than the actual glass screen though. |

Vivftp. I have the skinomi.. it's good for screen protector purposed. Finger print is just as bad as the glass I think. Especially after some use. The oleophobic coating wears off fast. Otherwise I like it. It's not very noticeable.

Anyone else feel the August security patch has softened the colours a bit too much? It doesn't have the oomph factor anymore imo. |

so did the phone receive true native 4k UI at the end? |

se_dude.. didn't get the august update yet with my UK variant. seems to always be the last to update!
gitaroo... don't think sony is planning to have that as a feature. modding it seems the only way to go if that's what you want.

One more XZ Premium user here. First impression, very good.
Camera: Surprisingly good, even in low-light.
Screen: Beautiful. Great color reproduction, details and sharpness.
Battery: Exellent.
Finger-scanner: Perfect.
Overall quality: Premium.

Just put my Skinomi protector on. Sucks that I got 1 tiny speck of dust or something under there, but oh well. I'm not sure if I forced out enough liquids when squeegeeing the thing, but I guess I'll see tomorrow when it dries.
Very easy to install on these phones. No worry about the 2.5D glass affecting it at all
