CHROME COLOUR WILL BE MINE ~~
Also, I think phone c gave good quality, and hope XZ premium is the one, you cant predict what Sony can do to their sensor tweaking, ultimately they are the ones producing their own sensors and know ways about doing it, (example XZs and XZ premium are same sensors yet premium gave even better photo quality. they can really fine tune photo quality if they want to, after all they produced the best high ISO camera sensors )

And another factor is they do not want to affect their camera sales.

To be honest, I do think too that phone b is XZP but neither of the three phones have great results.
Those three crops are awful and would never win any photo contest.

These low-light crop shots are more or less for other purposes other than sharing in social media and be proud of them.

But what's intruiging me is the shot of the building fascade with phone B.
It was clear on their review that XZP shots with lights are excellent.

Phone B is XZ Premium, this photo is just screaming "Who needs OIS when there is good EIS"

I think the phone C is Xperia XZ Premium because it has the widest FOV and With 25mm focal length in 35mm equivalent Xperia XZ Premium has wider lens than both S8 (26mm) and G6 (around 30mm if i'm not mistaken)

^Nope. you got it wrong. Sony XZ Premium is Photo B. It is very evident on color processing and the washout photos taken in low light. Photo A is LG G6 as oversharpening is very noticeable. So that leaves Photo C to Samsung S8. Besides, if you look at the full image, we all know who is gonna to win. Of course, it is Xperia XZ Premium. It has more pixels and very nice color.

It is a good thing you mentioned FOV. Yes Sony has the widest FOV of the bunch, but since the photo samples are cropped, Sony should appear closer. Why? You have to zoom in the image on Sony a little bit more to get to same view of the rest. This same reason makes the Photo B look worse than the three. If you look closely, Photo A & C have very similar FOV.

Anyways, acccording to TechMagnets review of XZ Premium, there will be a final update to improve low light photos algorithm of XZP. So you guys may wanna wait for that update before you judge the phone camera's low light capability.

To be honest, why do gsmarena do such kind of review? Do people on social media actually pixel peep? For me, if it does not effect the overall quality of the photo, why bother at all? I smell a dark propaganda..

Picture C is definitely the LG G6.
comparing the shots from the reviews, it is evident that picture C is taken by LG G6.

On the other hand, it looks like XZP is selling like hot cake in Taiwan.

I think in the long run gsmarean's camera comparison is will be good for sony fans. It highlight the the weak point of sony camera - Low light shot. Although XZP's photo looks very good without zooming the moment you zoom in there are lots of noise and lack of detail is apparent. XZP win in the color and saturation though but nobody care about those thing in the blind comparison. Only thing the look at is detail and noise. And S8 is much better than XZP in these two department.

As long as people don't zoom in too much XZP's camera is comparable to other modern flagship. Hopefully sony will improve their low light scene even more with their future flagship. Just like they improve their corner sharpness issues with XZP.

Because this is the only real way to determine the sensor quality. People on social media might not pixel peep, but is the only purpose of camera in a phone to post pictures on social media? I don't think so.

In today's world 4K monitors are more and more popular, this means that these monitors are practically pixel peeking, as they are showing the picture in 8MP mode.

I've compared ISO of the low light church photo, LG and Samsung did ISO250 at 1/33. Sony used ISO800 at 1/50. It is the time for Sony to finally acknowledge OIS and implement it in their phones...

It is a clear loss for Sony, based on the two low-light comparison of gsmarena.

ISO 800 will never win against 250.

Just a question? Isn't that higher iso is used for moving objects? Is it really an advantage over lower iso at night for moving objects?

My Z2 loves taking iso at 3200 which means XZp at 800 is quite an improvement.

Update: I just checked again the low-light shots.
It seems Sony's approach is not an advantage in moving objects.

In theory, yes. In practice for moving objects at night just use xenon flash, or super expensive DSLR cameras that can handle high ISO very nice .
