A while ago I posted that the XZ Premium now has the SteadyShot function when recording in 4K and I couldn't remember where I had seen it, it was on GSMarena in a hands-on with phone. It confirms this at the bottom of page 3 so expect the XZ Premium to have the most stable videos on any phone regardless of the resolution.

XZ premium will start shipping in mainland Europe and the UK from week commencing the 29th of May.the info is almost certain.

nice to see XZP getting some love on GSMarena. i did watch the jerry rig video for the s8. it's very impressive. all metal parts everywhere and structural integrity is rock solid. hope the glass on the xzp is imbedded into the metal frame for structural integrity as well, instead of just sitting on top.
josephnero - don't tease me!! that's potentially 5 weeks away! i've got mario kart coming for my switch next friday and a month away is my XZP? OH MY.. best spring ever.

xzs seems more natural with brightness and color. s8+ seems artificially brightened, which washes out the colors.
i'd take xzs anyway of s8+..
zoom performance s8+ wins though.

So can the xzp capture real hdr photo and hdr video to out put them on the screen? I am talking about real hdr10 capture not like those previous fake hdr. |

i wouldn't say it's a truly even match up. on one hand you have the XZs with lower internal specs than the S8+... and on the other hand you have the S8+ being a verizon model, which is guaranteed to be crippled in some way from verizon's bloatware. so maybe they're about even, but it's definitely not a clean test. cool to see sony holding its own with last year's processor though.
