well, the quality are completely different between the 2 companies.
whenever someone talks about Samsung flagships, the first things comes to mind is army grade grenade and refurb grenade. under this impression, it's reasonable for Samsung to react fast on issues impacting a good percentage of its users

The 6 + 128 is actually XZP not XZ1.
The red XZP might be 6GB ram and 128GB storage.
Docomo version for Japan, then released in Taiwan.
Have no idea if it will be somewhere else.

I do not like this.. Other OEMs are doing that already.
Usually more ram and storage for their countries and China.
S6 blue has 128GB.
S7 edge black piano has 128GB
S8+ for China and South Korea has 6/128
Same for U11... It seems Moto Z2 Force will have 6+128 somewhere too.
Some areas have G6 32GB, others 64.
Some areas got X or XZ single ( 32GB), other dual (64GB).
Here, we had both X and X Dual, but sadly no XZ dual just XZ.
XZ Premium is single sim too.

Of the three leaked model numbers, I guess just the G83XX and the G84XX will be announced at IFA. IFA isn't as big of a mobile show as MWC, therefore I'm expecting them to only bring out the flagships and leaving out the mid-range handset G34XX.

Sony says X is dead, no X1.
But some websites still say about X1 ( SD660, 4GB, 2800 mAh, imx400).
I do not think it is an E6 , L1 is here to replace it.
If X1 will never be real, all I can think of is an Ultra 6.2" or 6.4" with 21:9 screen.
Maybe powered by Sony's cpu. |

If this phone has 660, 4GB, 64GB, 2800 mAh and imx400 then it would be almost the same of XZs.
660 is as strong as 820.
And rumors say this phone would cost 600 dollars.
X had poor sales, even compared do X Perf.
On ebay XZs is less than 600 already, probably less than 500 in october.
We all have seen this before...

M5 x Z3 / Z3+
Here M5 arrived same price of Z3 and 14% cheaper than z3+.
X was same price of S7. A bit cheaper than Z5.
Total fail announced...
Sony should keep XA/XAu every MWC, XZ family every IFA.
Bring Premium every 2 year at IFA.

It wouldn't make any sense launching Premium variant of XZ1 that late since by that time, XZ2 would be old news as well. |

And 400 is the lowest price of XA1U you can find on Earth.
It will be 737,00 dollars here for example..
So, is it 5" screen?
Sony is very misterious.
We all know everything about Samsung phones 4 months before it shows up.
XZ2 Premium is better idea than XZ1P.
More time for JDI to develop the Oled screen.
And new imx...
I just hope it's not 100% screen. Acoustic surface would be very welcome.
Please Sony, no XZ1s in February/2018.. X Perf and XZs were so unnecessary..

Is the 3rd phone something like a XA1+ or XA1s?
So, if the price is not much more than XA1.
I'd guess it has body of XA1, better cpu/gpu, true dual sim.
Also, FHD screen and imx400.
No waterproofing, no fps ..

yeah, year end flagship should be just size variants like XZP Ultra 6+" and XZP compact 4.5+", if they are planning on using the same SoC, camera sensor and other minor tweaks. Save real number sequence for real upgrade annually. Even Samsung knows to space out Galaxy S and Note to not screw themselves over. Sony just doesn't get it. |
