I do not think so. Maybe Sony decides to do XA2 Ultra 21:9.
But 18:9 not really.
Sony does not want black bars when people use Remote Play.
Having it 2:1 would be up to Game Division. Games are made for being played on tv, no tv is 2:1.
I would like to see something like ZL. It was a good looking phone.
But thing have evolved.
Front speakers, bigger rear cam, bigger front cam, bigger batteries.
I have no idea if it is physically possible.
XZs has 14.6cm. I would like XZ1 to have no more than 14cm.
It seems Sony is working on a way to use the space better.
Some people say 18:9 is better because because split screen, but many apps do not work with it.
Sony music apps does not.
My LG G Pad has it too. Chrome is the only browser to work this way on my tablet.

With Sony, using 18:9 screen will be transformed into 21:9 device.. thanks to top & bottom bezels...
They really should trim these bezels out

According to an article from Review.ge (Shop & Blog) from Georgia . We have this..
" Sony will offer up to 20 megapixel 1 dimensional sensor that comes with 4 electrodes in one pixel.
Pixel size of 3.2 - 5.8 micron will be available in the next flagship smartphone.
Also supported are F1.2 - F1.4 diaphragm.
This camera should not be expected in 2017, because Sony has a 18-month cycle for each new camera,
and according to the September 2018 (which will also be the date of the release of a new premium smartphone in the premium series), this new camera should not be expected, but it is also important to note that The camera will be one of the two cameras."

That's nodar's blog.he gets his info from weibo.so sadly while info about sensor is mostly correct (seen lots of rumors on chinese sites) his blog isn't a good source for rumors.no offense |

Hi. No need to apologize...
I do not know their sources. So I cant say they are reliable.
A few things about MWC were true.
I just know I started to save money for next premium.
In 2019 after a good price drop.
My Z3+ will be 3 y.o till then.
I love my Z3+, but it is better inside than outside.
Back has many scratches ( my fault), and frame is getting a bit ugly, so are plastic corners.
Hope next premium uses oled screen as speaker like Bravia Oled.

Afraid that wouldn't work as you need to be able to touch a phone screen which would stop or dampen the vibrations that would produce the sound.
I would like it if they used 2 of the speakers from the Xperia E1 which could hit 100dB. Or at least something like it with a bit better audio quality. That would be great for a future phone!
Incidentally, what is taking Sony so long to launch the XZ Premium in Canada? Other than something about working with carriers we havent heard a peep. One of my friends who had been holding out for the Premium went and got the S8+ today instead. |

About the vibrating screen...
If you are watching a movie and someone is on the left side, sound comes out from left not from whole screen.
I have no idea how it works for music.
We cannot forget that Triluminous and X Reality came from Bravia.
Maybe it could be possible.
But specs of this oled are ...
5.5" ( actually 5.46")
STE Oled
807 ppi
12 bits
4.096 billion colors
RGB Blue Pixel
1200 nits
E ~ 0 0,005 (Rec 2020) 96% REC 2020 100% ICD-P3, Rec.709
I have no idea when XZP comes to my country too. Same for XA 1 Ultra.
L1 and XA1 have been around almost one month.
Z5 Premium arrived in february/2016 here. 3 months after Z5

Got some info about G8341 aka XZ1.
Design-wise, it's going to be very similar to XZ,XZs,XZP.
The size is almost exactly the same as XZ/XZs BUT screen size is bigger, around 5.4inch.
What do the same body size & bigger screen mean? Yes, narrower bezel!!!
But it seems the final design is not determined. So it could be prototype.

I have hard time believing in 96% REC 2020 coverage.
The best OLED for TV can only reach ~75%.
