What we some how know is a possible arrangement between Qualcomm and Samsung, the later fab the chips.. and the former provides the first shipments to Samsung to fulfil their S8 SoC demand.

If intel is having problems with 10nm, then it is no surprise that Samsung would have similar issues even though their 10nm is not technically the same as intel's 10nm. |

it's been pretty quiet here lately.
any new rumors as to the IFA devices? Will we be seeing a new flagship with brand new design that will make me wish i hadn't just purchased an XZP?

I'm thinking that they will have the XZP internals without the 4K screen which is good, hopefully there is the equivalent Compact model too. They will be forced to reduce the top and bottom bezel size because of the competition....word on the street....in order for that to happen you'll need a big change in design to accommodate this. I don't expect them to do the OLED screen just yet, perhaps next year. |

It's great having the luxury of stereo front-facing speakers but I'd still like them to take a few more risks and churn out a whole new design, so I'll be made up if what Archdragoon says is true.

well if that is true it could mean what's coming at IFA isn't anywhere near as good as the XZP or just completely different in design.
it does make me wonder if i should try to hold out until IFA or keep my preorder for XZP. sigh.. decisions decisions..

Yeah. The XZP is pretty high specced already. I think he is probably referring to the design, what else would he be.

Update from anonymous source(the same that told us about GG5 on both sides and gave info on XZp)
((next year there will be a major design change that is XR5 and the use of OLED is a very strong possibility but nothing confirmed yet. One other thing, the XZ Premium has seen massive amount of intrest and Sony expect pre-orders to be the strongest to date when pre-orders officially open in early May)) |
