If it looks anything like that, SONY will immediately have my money. And, I mean, right away! Now, knowing SONY, it might be too hopeful to be anything like that..... Who knows, here I'm hoping to be proven wrong. |

Would preferred 16:9 with slim bezel design anyday.

Apple has few Nokia camera guys in their sleeves after Microsoft took over Nokia's phone business.
It is not know yet about Google but relatively upper hands that could create own receipt of secret sauce for camera.
Plus tremendous amount of research and development budget, in contrast of Xperia that get cut for few years now.

About the concept. If a dual cam setup comes, I hope it looks different.
One glass to cover both is ugly.

This is 0 axis there's no OIS here, it's a fixed lens, but rather than having one big single lens, they use hundreds to thousands of tiny little mini micro lenses.
It's interesting indeed, but I'm worried about lens quality as it plays a major role in image quality, having such layer mean there's no need for other lens except for specific purpose ( OIS, Optical Zoom, etc.. ), but using even a $1000 lens will not have that effect if this lens-layer is of a low quality.

I tried to keep blind eye about this but you're complaining like bitch, like haven't survive in  fast port era before.
One should be enough or make out your topic, I don't see keep spoil it over the forum would help Sony get this lens distortion fix any faster. Until the next products of IMX400 (2nd generation) market launch in April or May.

Guys I have good news. Here is an update from anonymous source: XR4
about next years flagship, between 78-80% body to screen ratio whilst keeping stereo speakers and 960fps upgraded to full HD and new CPU will support 4K 60fps which will be industry standard for all 2018 flagship following on from Apple.
