^no not at all, I left my X to record for over 9 minutes before I stopped it and had no such message regarding overheating. The phone was warm but not hot or even close to it, I think the one XperiaBlog showed maybe a defective unit.

Interesting. Actually Android Headlines also mentioned in their review that their unit also heat up when recording videos. But I did see another comment on Xperiablog which said it recorded over 40 minutes without any problem. Seems like there are some faulty units out there. Thanks for the reply.

Sony mean business with the new X series.
First time I saw the Xperia X ad on Youtube here in Spain.
And the availability is good too. Vodafone, The Phone House and Orange all carry this new phone.
Even though Sony predict less handset sold this year, they still seem to want to change on that.

With more attractive looking colours, and the brand recognition still being strong, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to do better.

The X is a fantastic bit of kit, the best Xperia in my book since the Arc S. A few of my friends have one too and they don't have a bad word to say about it, 2 of those have switched from iPhone as they were getting bored with how stale iPhones in general have become. Sony have the winning formula a Just hope it pays off for them now.

I have used the Xperia X briefly and I like what I have seen and felt so far.
I am even considering getting the Xperia X Performance and give my Galaxy S7 to my girlfriend.
Sadly she values battery as much as I do and she has heard my battery complaints-

How is the battery performance on the Xperia X?

The battery life is great, I can get through a full 24 hours I've still have around a few % left with a good few hours on screen time doing the usual calls, text, emails, music Web browser and so on. Its definitely better than the Z5 and my screen brightness is around 85% too and this is all without stamina mode as well.

Here is a screen shot with around 30 hours between a single charge, the battery was only charged upto 90% too.

Feels really nice in the hand, have to say that it makes the Z series look a bit dated, which it probably is now. The design is winner, it just feels great in the hand and looks really nice too.

It's launching on BT Mobile too, who have allowed tethering on their sims at last. I think Sony are onto something with this new range.

Sony Mobile seem to have a larger budget for advertising for the X range already than what the Z5 ever had I think. It looks to me at least Sony are giving these phones a big push in which they X range really does deserve.

Yeah, it is probably a good idea that they have slimmed down the range. I think the X range will be more competitive, once the prices come down a bit.

51% usage in 12 hours of heavy usage is pretty excellent IMO.

It's just over 24 hours, if anything it's closer to 25 hours with just over 50% battery used.

From 8am to 9am the following day!!!
