The next Ultra is a long told prophecy. Some swear by it, others point at the lack of evidence. It's like believing in God(s) or bigfoot.

No, you are not. There never was supposed to be any more ultra devices, the original never sold well, so why dump more money into a sinking segment.
As for tablets, doubt Sony will have anymore after what xperiablog posted. |

No. Me too. I don't think that Sony will release any more Ultra phones.

That is a good thing because imo it can only help them to restructure the sinking ship. In terms of product positioning all they need for now is:
one low end, 5"
two mid range, 5" and 5.5"
three high end, 4.7", 5.2" and 5.7"
They should start to focus on true competitive pioneering quality instead on quantity and buzz words only. Basically they should stop be sonymobile. If they continue to be sonymobile then most likely there won't be sonymobile if you know what i mean. |

Well I don't want to be harsh on them since it's their first Android phone but software needs polishing. Those small apps on sony phones are golden. But the camera is better than xperias which is a shame to Sony really. Anyho hope leaksfly is right about 6.4" ultra this time. I believe Sony does a better job with large devices. Tablets and the ultra are flawless. |

A Z6 Ultra would not sell well, unfortunately, so Sony would be shooting themselves in the foot in terms of wasted resources and lack ROI. They shouldn't go bigger than a 5.7 inch screen for the Z6 phone range. Ideally, no bigger than 5.6 inches.
