I hope it really looks like that, because more or less everyone wants to look like an iPhone 6.
It's just Sony that do not try to replicate the iPhone 6. Not that I think the iPhone 6/6s has an ugly design.
"Think different" just doesn't fit Apple anymore.
If the Xperia Z6 is being released this spring, I will not be the last one to update to it.
I have read the Galaxy S6 series is suffering from slowdowns after a couple of months. That is something I haven't experienced with my Xperia Z3 and it's over a year old now.

I don't know why but that bezel less display style doesn't strike me anything special. No phone will be truly bezeless. Well, not anytime soon.
I absolutely love Sony's h.ear head phones and speaker range. Great design, funky colours. Why can't this style be translated to their smartphones?

Target it at business users, bring back some of the Pseries features e.g. Stylus and software to rival the Note series. There is plenty of room in the phablet market and plenty profits to be made.
They could launch e.g. A Z6 Compact and normal 5.2inch Z6 around MWC and then bring the phablet beasts at IFA, with both a Z6 Premium at 5.5inch 4K display 3600mAh battery and Z6 Ultra with 6inch 4K display, 4000mAh battery and Stylus with note/business software and make a killing in terms of margins during Q4 which includes the festive season.

When the S6 came with the Edge, everyone went for the Edge and according to the current rumors Samsung will have a normal S7 around 5.1 and a Edge at 5.5 so I imagine the Edge will be more expensive. Z5 feels a bit lost because the Z5C has its appeal because its compact and the Z5P because its 4K. I would do a Samsung and have fewer devices so a Z6C, Z6 (which is a premium with maybe a 5.2 4K screen) and the Ultra. Ultra comes at MWC with tablets and the other two around September. The have the one year cycle on the lower ends but stagger them over the year so it seems like they release something in between that has a fresh design like the C5 Ultra and it keeps them in the news. If you think about HTC, you hear nothing from them for ages then the A9 comes. Then a long wait before some M10 news. I hear nothing about HTC these days. |

Out of those ones, it would only be worth Sony making:
Z6 Compact: 4.8" screen
Z6 Premium: 5.5" screen
Z6 Ultra: 6" screen

I would also create a new line of upper midrange Xperia called Xperia "A" which resembles kinda the same design language and display size as the Z line but with inferior specs.

That would be the end of Sony Mobile. Unless you're Apple, you cannot make a living on expensive flagships only. Competiton is really strong, flagship sales on emerging markets is pretty limited, chinese companies are also more and more competetive - for less money. Today you're making money on competetive higher-midrangers like A-series from Samsung. They need to be available worldwide, have attractive design, no major flaws and good marketing. More budget phone to compete with Moto G, Samsung J5 or Huawei P8 Lite wouldn't hurt either. In short: 3 flagships (4,8", 5,3", 5,7", top specs), two midrangers (5" and 6" ultra, Snapdragon 650/652, 3GB of RAM, decent cameras) and one more budget friendly phone (5", Snapdragon 417 or Mediatek P10, 2GB of RAM, 13MPix camera, some gimmick to help marketing).

i feel it will work fine in the scenario of the previous year flagship to be this year midranger
honestly in comparison of M5 in the previous year with the Z3 which is year before
still the Z3 better and it was cheaper or the same price range when the M5 was in market
plus this strategy will make sony save a lot for the R&D and for adv. |

^^ Either way will fail because sony mobile refuse to outdo themselves since they exist. First they need to stop fooling themselves and consumers with big words but average end result to the competition. People don't compare sony with sony, they compare sony to other manufacturers and i'm not even talking about marketing which i could not care less about personally when entering the store to buy a new device but for completely objective comparisons. They did not make the radical change they need to make over time ever since they took over ericsson in order to stop being average. As of now they are in a slow way but a sure way to not exist. |

Kijiji/eBay retailers are asking far too much for the Z5C which I'm royally pissed off about. I kept my 64GB MSD but I picked up a IP6_128GB storage.
I pray the next Z5 has very high internal storage: 32/64/128/256GB ... cause the speeds and consistent rates are top notch. No MicroSD (MSD) compares.
DrumBeat/Sequencer apps, Photo Apps, photo editing (scrubbing EXIF data), and that last educational app I must have Mathemagics just like the book.

Neither do I, I don't see why it does matter that much, I didn't tested it yet but I feel it will be difficult to use with one hand
I didn't liked the design, neither the funky colours... If I will choose one I'll go for the black one...
I love the design and features of MDR-1ABT ( Hi-Res Bluetooth ), the only thing that the h.ear has more is the NC feature which the 1ABT lacks.. both have all other features though the h.ear being new does not have any reviews yet to see how it perform against 1ABT...
for 1ABT, I would choose the silver, though the black still looks nice...
