It's actually pretty dark inside. Much darker than the photo is indicating.

Oh, so that's why. I'm really noticing that the software now is too aggressive in low light, unnecessarily making it too bright and producing blurry shots. I still like how the Z2 deals with low light.

Nice shots there bono! I guess you used manual to achieve a long exposure time? And you've got really steady hands, too. Sony should really use OIS.

Cheers. Yes steady hands and anything around I can rest it on. I do need a mobile tripod to be honest. I use night scene in manual

Awesome photos Bono, how did you achieve the car lights to trail like that? Does night mode make that happen on the Xperias? I hope to do something like that on my Z.

Night scene does yes about 0.77 seconds exposure. One thing that really confuses me with Sony why is there no manual EV??

Thanks thats great to hear.

Yeah there is in my Z, just the 3 lines in the viewfinder and then you click on it and gives you manual or preset settings, i.el cloudy, indoor etc. and then a scroll bar for manual EV settings above? Please dont tell me Sony got rid of this? Its very handy in my Z. I am running 4.4.4 too which is strange.

Found it, its under white balance settings, hopefully!

I have attached the manual below bono!

Adjust the ISO to a lower value, see bono's photos have ISOs lower than 150 which is usually higher in low-light photos when you use auto. It may lag, my Xperia L lags like hell when I lower the ISO so you have to be very steady and very patient. But I'm sure it won't do that or it won't be that much in your high-end devices. Also adjust the EV value to make the photo not too bright.
