z3 vs alpha vs iphone 6
http://www.frandroid.com/marq[....]pha-xperia-z3-compact-iphone-6

conclusion:
If we were to achieve a qualitative ranking for cameras of the three smartphones, it would be this: iPhone 6 / Xperia and Galaxy Z3 Compact Alpha. None of the three phones is bad in camera mode, but the iPhone 6 is greater than the largest number of areas. We especially appreciate his versatility. Xperia Z3 Compact may be higher in some areas such as white balance or its greater definition, but it is handicapped by small defects such as macro mode. If we talk about quality - price ratio photo, Xperia Z3 Compact 500 euros holds the top spot, followed by the iPhone 6 from 709 euros and 649 euros to Alpha Galaxy.

As an aside, T-mo just switched my SIM card to a nano and I dropped it in. Worked in seconds. They didn't charge me.

I think I found a bug.

When you set an alarm, on the Z1C, it'll bring up a screen where you can hit snooze or turn it off. That doesn't happen on the Z3C. Only way it turns off I've found is by powering it off.

Anyone else encounter this?

I have found one bug, sometimes the notification drop down get stuck, only occasionally and nothing serious. Other than that, it's pretty much perfect.

I am actually pleasantly surprised this handset is so likeable I don't want to part with it!!!! It's good having virtually no issues out the box & rare

this shot was taken at full res in grey dull lighting(still no decent sunlight) & it is still very sharp but no over sharp

What has everyone got battery life wise?? So far with my heavy usage I tend to get about 20-22 hours with with average 5 to 6 hours screen time!! This 3 to 4 days with medium to heavy usage is a little over ambitious & with everything optimized I would never get that unless I hardly used it!! But it's still very good!!

The only bug I have is that my phone is white ... (and not green or orange)
The rest is just fine.
Battery is getting better every day and yesterday came back from work with 75% battery left, what is bit better than my Z1C.

Mine went off charge yesterday morning and now I have 15% left. WiFi tethering is always on though, as is Bluetooth.

Also, the phone is scratch free, back and front, which I'm very pleased about. It's a tough little beast.

That's good I guess I use my phone a lot it runs down quicker. WI Fi uses less battery than the network.

I never knew about this test

Did you ever wonder if your device is really watertight but do not want to find that out by dunking it in water?

Here is a test which uses just the phone and it's service mode (or any barometer app).
1. dial *#*#7378423#*#*
2. go to "Service Tests"
3. go to "pressure sensor"
4--> if all seals are intact the pressure should rise. Your phone with intact seals is a closed system. If you compress the volume the pressure goes up as a result. If any of the seals is compromised pressure will not rise.

Note: pressure will decrease automatically - that might be a result of the sensor adjusting, it will not go back to it's original value until you relieve the pressure.
. slightly compress the phone using your thumb and index finger by pressing on the display and back

It's been a long time since I've been into the service menus on any phone - they've certainly changed somewhat.
