My negative points are that the plastic back may be a scratch magnet and the Z1C notification light looks better.

All reviews say the back i made of glass, not plastic (as is the case for Z1C).

I know the back of the Z1C suffered from scratching quite easily. May be this has been fixed in the Z3C. I think I'll apply a screen protector JIC.

Well, they have stopped using the shatter proof sheets now which were the culprit for the easy scratching

Yeah, they were a nightmare - made your phone look older than it was. I'd prefer tough tempered glass that didn't scratch.

You can buy tempered glass? Like a sheet of glass for your phone? You'd have two, one on top of the other.

Am thinking about coming back to Sony again, Z3 and Z3C are the true One Sony phones. I got a HTC One (M7), loves it, great display/built quality, and an ok camera, but the biggest problem is battery life, it doesn't lasts me for a whole day of my moderate to heavy use. I will be getting the Z3, but still undecided on the screen size, will love the compact size and battery life of Z3C but as am looking forward for some PS4 Remote Play the larger screen of the Z3 might be better. Who else is undecided about the screen size here?

Edit: Love to see you all oldies (Bono, Golden and all) sticking around, what smartphone do you guys got these days?

All bow to the new endurance kings: Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact score a record battery life

KNEEL BEFORE ZED!

Z3: 9 hrs, 29 mins
Z3C: 14 F*CKING HOURS, 44 SH*TTING MINUTES

PS: They are currently redoing the Z3C battery test, that's how surprised they are.

Hi Rishone, old timer

If PS4 Remote Play is an important feature then of course I'd opt for the larger screened Z3, the extra screen estate makes a difference.

I have to admit that what drew me to the Z3 Compact is the price right now, (£70 of the RRP on the Sony Mobile site).
I've opted for the smaller screened phone and tablet combination.

I've the red (mandarin) coloured Z3C on pre-order from clove, who say they're getting stock in TODAY, so hopefully I'll have the beast in my hands tomorrow, all being well.

I hate to bring bad news but it looks like they've updated their estimate to Wednesday, sorry goldenface!
