Woow, Z3 camera is awesome! Finally Sony fixed the camera, now I'm not sure if I should wait for Z4 or just get Z3. I didn't expect such a big improvement in camera

And GSMArena saying the camera is not competitive is funny, but anyway they provide comparison tool that says otherwise. They will also for sure make a shootout, that will have to show Z3 in good light.

What's more funny is DXOmark giving the same score for Z2 and Z3 when the difference is not from this world

I can also accept apologizes for calling me troll for saying that Z1 and Z2 camera underdelivers and is crap. Which was true from begining but now you have unquestionable proof.

Yes you are 100% right.. z3 best cameraphone for 2014

You can clearly see that the Z3 is better than the Z2 in their photo tool...

All these online camera reviews mean nothing to me.. the only way for me to know for a fact what a phone camera can really do is to shoot it myself.

DXO spits out a bunch of graphs that end up meaning very little in the real world, GSMarena can be biased at times, but at least they have a studio set up that let's you see the result they got.. that can be manipulated obviously. I like their photo comp tool.. I wish more sites did that.

dpreview has a studio set up as well, and I do trust them for the most part, but for some reason they don't test each phone the same way.. for example they didn't take a studio shot with the GS5.

the photo comparison tool on digitalversus/lesnumerique is the best for me. they compare studio shots in good light and low light (with results that are way better than what gsmarena and phonearena have been producing). i just wish they also include outdoor shots or landscapes.

you can add more devices and more scenes. you can drag the crop and all crops will be simultaneously dragged. really great comparison tool! i wonder how their studio shots are always better than what gsmarena and phonearena have.

For Sony’s new Xperia Z3 flagship, Carphone Warehouse sent a bloke to the bottom of a swimming pool to do an underwater unboxing.

Camera comparison between iP6+, Butterfly 2, Note 4 and Z3.

My opinion is Note 4 wins with Z3 2nd, the flash on the Z3 looks bad.

excellent stabilization vs iphone 6
but still colors, saturation, and contrast could be better

i hope sony adopts the iphone's tap to change exposure/contrast feature. that'd be very handy to correct the SA's inadequacy

My opinion is we don't know, we all know that de camera of the Z3 is better than Note 4.
More details in low light condition, for the rest we have to wait we don't know that the user use auto modus or manual.
Z3 does allot take better picture in manual modes.

Z3 camera is my opinion better, bigger resolution more details in low light conditions for the rest we have to wait.

Bigger resolution isn't everything, the S5 takes better pictures than the K Zoom despite having lower resolution.

Also, interestingly, the Note 4 has 8x zoom, a first for a Samsung phone, how comes the S5 only had 4x despite having the same resolution? Is it because of the new SD805 processor?

^ i think he was just referring to eprice's comparison. eprice did a blind comparison but it was obvious that the note 4 produce the better photos there (the note 4's photos were obvious because they had a different aspect ratio-16:9).

i'm just not sure why eprice kept getting those blurry photos when other review websites have different results. i kept track of their camera comparisons and the z3 there were consistently out of focus and exaggeratedly bad. the colors are way off. the flash photo, specifically, was beyond bad. i just don't know if they used superior auto but their photos there were not in 16:9 aspect ratio so i suppose they were manual shots and they did not even try to do the necessary corrections. even mobile-review, hi-tech mail, gsmarena, and phonearena took better photos than those compared by eprice.

i'm not saying eprice is being biased because based on their polls, there are more xperia fans on that site than galaxy fans. maybe they just got a defective unit.
