@fbloise,as I said the Z2 was the first Sony to stop using the crappy shatter proof sheets. So Sony no longer use them. So now you have the pure glass no easy to scratch so called useless protector.

I've got a screen protector on because the shatter-proof film picked up scratches really quickly. The back has gone to hell, it's picked up so many little marks because it's plastic. Luckily I have a yellow one so it's not to obvious but at some point I will add some plastic resin to fill the gaps, polish it and then put a transparent back protector on it. Brushed metal for the next model please.

@badassman why not buy some oleophobic coating?? You can buy it and it'll protect from grease and scratches

Thanks but the phone is well past that, it honestly looks like it's 10 years old so I've stopped caring about scratches. Luckily it is bright yellow so it's not that visible to others. The only realistic option is to put decal stickers on it but it's a shame because I really the phone in the nude.

I see that you've got a G3 now....maybe pick up a Z1 Compact, it's different to the usual flagship devices and you'll appreciate how good it is for a small device.

Since I updated to 14.4.A.0.108 I'm experiencing a rather annoying bug. Every once in a while when I press the home button, I get prompted to chose between the "Simple start" or the "Xperia Home" (I'm not sure exactly what they are called in English). Even if I select Xperia Home and chose "Always", I will soon receive the same prompt. And then again. And again.

I have gone to Settings -> Apps -> Xperia Home and cleared the data, but this makes no difference.

If I start the phone in Safe Mode, the problem does not seem to appear. This has lead Sony Support to believe the issue is with some third party app, and they have hence given the recommendation that I start uninstall them until the phone is working as it should again.

Before I do that I figured I should ask here if anyone has had the same problem and have a solution?

And remember, I did not have this problem before updating the phone to latest software.

Edit: Seems the problem was "Visage Lab". Not sure when I got that app; thought it was preinstalled. Oh well, problem seems solved (Leaving this here in case someone else gets the same problem)

No such problems here...
I'm even surprised how smooth and fast it works after the update to 4.4.4.
But It did crash once few days ago (for the first time) and the camera bug with portrait pictures is still there.
