So i cracked my screen a few weeks back. Should i fix it? sonymobile says that there is planned upgrade to 5.0. I dont think that the z3 is much of an upgrade over the z, apart from the 1gb of extra ram and a few Mhz.

The price of the screen + digitiser has come down, so it might be worth having a go yourself.

@govigov I too have a Z and damaged my internal speaker while on holiday. 2 biggest trade offs are when repairing the phone you will lose all waterproof capabilities, 2nd is the Z3 or Z3C are a much better built phone than the original Z. Everything has completely improved (especially the flapless headphone socket!), if i had the money I would get a Z3C in a heartbeat but I just got my Z repaired and works fine except for an annoying internal paint scratch that repairer done when removing the old speaker/vibrator.

If you have the money get the Z3C, I rate it the best phone this year!

Has anyone updated their Z to Lollipop? Im getting mixed signals from various websites claiming the issues but I just want to make sure prior to upgrading. Im also might just hang on and wait for 5.1 to arrive on the Z.
