I don't get why you say "it's just a render", when all promo pics of phones are renders.
If those new images are real, it looks like the sides will be mirrors as well as the back. Am I allowed to dream of cool, illuminated edges around the handset as a notification light? |

Dacha, that chinese rumor is 100% fake I'm sure. Why ? Because there is no APQ8060 S4 Pro. APQ8060 is an S3 chipset with 1.7ghz dual core scorpion cores and Adreno 220. There is also an S4 APQ8060A (S4 PLUS) which is a krait 1.7ghz dual core with Adreno 225.
Why couldn't Yuga/Odin have 1.7 Ghz cores considering that original Tegra 3 had it's cores cloaked at 1.5 Ghz and than on some later models they updated it to 1.7 Ghz (I think that was the case with One X+)?
P.S. didn't Eldar mention Yuga was at 1.7 Ghz?

Anyone know if Yuga will be significantly 'faster' than the quad 720p phones of today? With 2.3 more pixels to push, it will need a lot more power...I still think a dual a15 with amazing graphics would be a better solution.
Yuga is still the next phone I'll buy (hopefully).
Edit: For a phone, I think we still have plenty of power, so if it is 'faster' at all with all the extra pixels, then that is good enough.

OMFG guys please tell me Intel's next gen Atom is a candidate for Q4 phone!?

Monstrous!
@Detox; yes, so I think there is a chance that Qualcomm slightly revises clocks on S4 like Nvidia did with Tegra 3.

2.70GHz? Lolno. The thermal throttling in a smartphone-sized application would be stupid. Anandtech already showed that Exynos 5 Dual from the Nexus 10 is unsuitable for smartphone applications due to the ridiculous power draw (hence the need for BIG.little setups).
I presume this is primarily for tablets and such. |

Well isn't A50 arhitecture planned for '14 (like that Intel stuff i was referring to) around 3Ghz as well?

I'm not sure. Probably. The advantage that ARM has though, is that its almost an universal standard in the smartphone and tablet arena. Even Apples and Qualcomms cores are based on the ARM v7 instruction set. Plus the BIG.Little setup, which I don't think Intel has.
Lowering clock speeds could be a solution but again, why bother with having to change Android's coding so it works on x86, when you can just get ARM-based architecture. |

Damn ! The back of the Xperia Z looks like shiiiiiit in those eprice pics, must be from a bad video of it. Comparing those to the Yuga pics Eldar posted its just plain awful. Cant wait to see it next week, need proper photos of it. |

I guess I like that black back over this mirror one. At least currently based off those new pics. That's why I need to wait til next week for a final judgement. I usually always love Sony's unique approach to designs. |

@Rog
Like the T/TX vs V, what would you prefer, Yuga or Odin? Practicality over everything else?
