Superior Auto Mode ala Sony cybershot cameras

Front camera is a VGA unit and not HD like in T/TX
No camera Shutter key
Only 8GB memory
No "Pulse LED" Flash as in T
Smaller battery than T

Thanks for comparison, but what "Pulse LED" mean?

This is Sony written all over it. This advantages shouldn't exists as it's software only, all they had to do is one click to give that to Xperia T and TX, but they didn't. That's why Sony is loosing it, they can't make one superior phone, they have to strip it's features and give to a slightly worse phone. That's why they can never compete with Samsung or HTC... If Sony phones weren't so cheap I would probably not buy them anymore...

Sony technologies in Xperia V explained

Mobile BRAVIA® Engine2 is an evolution of Mobile BRAVIA® Engine delivering an ever better viewing experience by adding a new real-time contrast optimisation and improving sharpness enhancement on top of high quality colour management and noise reduction.

ClearAudio+ mode, developed with Sony’s own signal processing technologies, allows users to effortlessly enjoy audio quality that may have been stripped away by music compression. ClearAudio+ mode incorporates a variety of Sony’s sound technologies, but with one simple operation, users can easily enjoy Sony recommended sound in ultimate clarity and presence, across the entire spectrum of sound.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology is an imaging technology used in Sony Cyber-shot® Digital Cameras that lets users capture clear photos even against strong backlight. With HDR, the camera quickly captures the image twice with different exposure levels and layers it together to create one optimised photo. HDR is automatically activated when Superior Auto detects scenes with strong backlight.

Superior Auto is technology used in Sony Cyber-shot Digital Cameras that intelligently detects scenes (up to nine scenes), sets most optimal settings for still image, and applies best image processing including layered technology (up to four photos), making it easy to get the best shot even in a dark or backlight scene.

@nikos_se

I don't see opticontrast panel mentioned in the V whitepaper ?

Anyway opticontrast is not in cell touch.

OptiContrast Panels have a special resin layer which absorbs any diffused light delivered from the backlight. What you see is high contrast and natural colours on screen – bringing out detail in the darkest movie scenes – and a real sense of depth.

This special resin layer inside OptiContrast Panels also absorbs ambient light

OptiContrast™ Panel with Gorilla® Glass

By replacing the thin layer of air between the LCD panel and the front glass with a specially-formulated dark resin, reflections are minimised and contrast and brightness are increased. This resin also provides a suitably dark background for producing rich and vibrant pictures, even in a well-lit room, and enhances the BRAVIA television's Monolithic Design concept by making the television appear to be a seamless black monolith when the screen is switched off. Plus, for the new range of BRAVIA televisions, Gorilla® Glass is used to increase the strength of the screen at a molecular level while simultaneously enabling it to be thinner and lighter than ever before.

@randomuser,

The white papers of t,v, and tx itself are pretty inconsistent. Looks like they need to be updated.

None of them has the illuminated XPERIA logo? Not even T? What about extra LEDs, like J or Miro?
