@randomuser I'm not sure many people in the forum here have tried both, I haven't, but I'm going to say of the two get TX. The design sold me and the biggest downfall from the T is the battery size, but that's cancelled out by the fact the battery is removable. No brainer. Hence why I have a TX

Thanks Ricky. What about development for TX ? Do ROMs for T work on TX ? Also I read a review of TX and the reviewer mentioned the build quality of the TX is very poor. Is that true ?

as a owner of Xperia TX I can say that the design is nice, but the back cover creaks on one side.

I have been using the T for about a month now.

I can say that it has the best battery ever for a Sony Android phone, and I've used a lot (Arc, Arc S, Play, S, Ion etc)

I have copied some screeshots where you can see that as an average:

- The battery lasted for more than 2 days
- Standby time is ridiculously high
- 3G+ on, Wifi from time to time, web browsing, more than 2 hours of screen ON, more than 1 hour of video playback on youtube, 20 to 40 minutes of talktime AND Gmail / Whatsapp Sync always On.

I have no idea how you get to those dream values.
Mine lasts about a day if used normally. Of course I do the casual gaming which sucks up a lot of battery. But even without gaming I never got over 24 hrs of usage.

@sambouka

Since you owned them all, how does the T screen compare with S and Ion ?

If I don't play any games and turn the screen brightness to 50% I think I can easily get a full day of usage, come back in 24 hours and I'll post my battery screen for comparison.

In terms of build quality, I did notice a creak on the power button side near the top. I noticed it for a week and it frustrated me for a day but I don't notice it at all now (it is still there, just less noticeable). I have no other issues with the build quality, the finish on the back is beautiful, the buttons are good quality (don't feel like the paint will chip), the chromed band round the edge is painted as far as I can tell, but it doesn't feel like it will chip like the Arc and X10 you knew it chip away, this doesn't feel like that.

T and TX ROMs are NOT compatible according to xda guys. I've not tried it as I've not wanted to brick my phone just yet. It seems as hough there is a bit development on T than TX at the minute but it's early days I think. I'm not even interested in custom ROMs at the minute, my TX is fast, smooth stable and not too bloated, but I take your point to know if development will be there.
I have a dig bick
You read that wrong

I compared the screen, you can see my comments in this thread page 33:

@justus333
I have an Orange French rom, on the Orange network...
Build number : 7.0.A.1.303
The phone is rooted, I disabled and uninstalled all Orange and sony's bloatware

I use the T with 40 to 50% brightness, automatic is off.

When I used Xperia S, It lasted maximum 36 hours, same usage, the ION lasted even less, between 24 and 30 hours.

This is why I'm saying I have never seen a phone like Xperia T...

Battery life is fantastic after I debranded. I'd say the Extended Standby Mode helps a lot. I've been out since 8:45 and still on 70% with moderate use.

Extended Standby Mode 'optimises battery lifetime by disabling data traffic when the screen is turned off'. Seems to make quite a difference.

Download the stock fw from here.

Download and install the latest version of Flash Tool.

Start PC Companion and connect your phone so it installs the phones drivers on the PC / laptop. You'll get a notification when this is done.

Disconnect the phone.

Start Flash Tool and follow the instructions. The phone doesn't have to be unlocked or Rooted.

I recently used my OEM BA900 batt, and played iHEART Radio app for hours on end, lasted nearly 9 hours, that's good right? if I didn't use the iHeartRadio app, I could probably made it last 12hrs, I assume.

btw, anyone know where, online, I can customized a case for the TX, GX (JAPAN), LT29i ? And Xperia V, too? I'm planning on getting it as well, either for me or a special someone, vise versa.

Does anyone use a third party app killers or battery savers? I do hate that some app stays on. I don't know if Xperia have a built-in app killer. I used to use ATK (advanced Task Killer free), but have since uninstall it for month now.

Have you enabled HDMI CEC (or Bravia Link or Bravia Sync as Sony calls it) on your TV ?

How do I enable it on my Bravia TV?? Do I need to press any button?
