Heh its ok, did it work ?

Works for me, only thing is it can be a bit of a battery drain if you want emails delivering often.

Is it just me or is the S3's GSM/WCDMA antenna very good? I use my S3 on WiFi a lot, and when i am away from WiFi im usually not on my phone, its just coincidence, but today i was getting sick of our wireless here at home, and decided to turn off WiFi altogether, and after a full day with no WiFi i've noticed that the S3 has incredible RF strength in places where my GS2, X10, Nokia 5800xm, mum's BB9810 Torch, her 9900 Bold and iPhone4S tend to struggle the S3 has no issues at all, come to think of it, i havent had any signal issues in my time with the S3 at all. I havent experienced such great quality RF since my 1st smartphone back in 2007, the Nokia N80. I was able to use my N80 in 3G only mode almost everywhere i went, since then i havent had such luck with majority of phones ive used. My SE K850i was pretty dam good to, it walked all over the N81 I had after the N80. Seems the S3 is the only recent phone so far i can do this with, its WiFi antenna is also impressive, but im blown away by its main antenna, i hope the S4 is the same, i remember how i was slightly disappointed when i went from the N80's great RF to the N81's rather average quality.

And im the opposite, i find my network has very little coverage at the moment. Not really the S3 at fault there though.

Galaxy S III continues to outsell iPhone5 in the UK

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsu[....]one_5_in_the_uk_-news-5155.php

Incredible, the Galaxy S II is still in the top 5 .Interestingly, despite all the claims that its being sold out at all kinds of random online stores the Nokia Lumia 920 does not even feature in the top10, even the Nexus4 which has been on sale for a shorter time beats the 920, im afraid we may be seeing a repeat of those overhyped figures that turned out be poor for the Lumia800 and 710, happen again for 920.

Android 4.1.2 starts rolling out to international Samsung Galaxy S III

Starting with unbranded Samsung Galaxy S III units in Poland and then working through other countries, Samsung has started pushing through the next OS update for its flagship model. No, it is not Android 4.2, but is Android 4.1.2 which includes a number of cool features like Multi-Window, the same Gallery app as on the Samsung GALAXY Note II , Smart Rotation, a customized notification panel, Paper Artist and Group Cast apps and SwiftKey Flow to name a few. The update is rolling out in phases, so if it hasn't hit your country or carrier yet, there is no need to jump. The update, a version of which was leaked a couple of weeks ago , will be available via OTA or Kies.

Come on !! if you are going to keep quoting stats and pick on particular models please have all the info to hand.

As i stated in response to your other post on the Lumia thread : The 920 is only available on one network in the UK until the end of the year, that is clearly going to have an impact the amount of people it is of interest to.

Not so sure about a tough plastic display it would scratch easier & screen might not look as clear unless it'll be some special plastic

@ lemmy31 - thats very true, the sad limitations of the 920's availability cripple its chances of making an early dent in the market. Stupid Nokia - they cant afford exclusivity unless the network in question is giving them a massive wad of cash to make up for it.

Anyone else experiencing that the GPS is more often active now searching the position? I always have it turned on, but before it seldom started to search the position. I don't know if there is an app that has updated to use the GPS mre frequently. Also the battery time has decreased. I'm still on 4.1.1.

AccuWeather and Google Now use the GPS a lot, especially Google Now, turn it off if you dont use it.
