I've got no leaks/rumors to post today but just wanna share something that might still interest a few. There was a talk recently whether Sony would buy ST-Ericsson. Well I am not confirming it but Sony is indeed looking at making more acquisitions in the near future to benefit its mobile division.
So there might be a new acquisition made in the near future.  |

Sounds like a good idea, but I think texas instruments is planning to sell off their cpu division. So wouldn't that be better option? More people are aware about omap as compared to novathor!

Again, I never said that Sony is buying ST-Ericsson. All I'm saying is there will be a new acquisition or two in the near future for the Sony Mobile division and just maybe it could be ST-Ericsson or even TI OMAP. Or it could be some other firm we know little about that has nothing to do with smartphone chipsets.

Kaz Hirai is normally alright to hear speak, he does tend to pass to people who aren't quite as good, I don't remember if it was CES or E3 but I heard some pretty average speakers in that. |
