I have owned plenty of Sony Ericsson phones. I still phones back in the days were more exciting and unique.
Today everthing tend to look more or less the same. Phones also perform pretty much the same.
My favourite phone in terms of uniqueness is the S700 and was the best of all beasts of its time.

Hello,
Currently I have Motorola mobile but before 8 years I used Sony Ericsson W550 and had great experience with it. It was my first big budget phone. |

After my daughter took my iPhone 5s and while waiting for my Asus NPFI to receive the KitKat update, I am using my old SE G700. The G700 and my iPod Touch 5 paired to the same Sony SBH20 BT earphones, I have an excellent media player and phone with me. The headset will pause any media playing on the iPod if I receive a call on the G700, and automatically resume the media when the call is finished. The only thing I'm missing out on is mobile Internet access.

I had a similar setup before with a Nokia E61i and an iPod Touch 4 paired with a Sony DR-BT100CX and it also worked perfectly. But this setup only worked if the phone paired only supported BT headset profile as the Sony headset could only have one A2DP device paired at a time. The newer Sony headsets support multiple (at least two AFAIK) devices concurrently.

I never had Sony Ericsson phones, but the Ericsson handset I had (and still have) are probably the best cellphones I ever owned. The first one was a T18s, then replaced by a GF768 (since the 1800mHz network back in 2003 wasn't very developed in my city). The GF768 died suddenly and refused to turn on, and got replaced by a GA318. Now I have a GH172 which I use as my daily mobile phone... It's huge but has a very good signal strenght and finds network in places where the modern cellphones don't. Nowadays, I only have the GH172 (actually I have four of them, three have some little gremlins so they are kept for spares, and one is working perfectly) and the GA318. The latter needs a thorough cleanup of the keypad, since some keys lost their sensitivity.
Compared to the Motorola handsets I owned, I always noticed that Ericssons are better at finding network, they find it in shorter times than Motorola ones, and they have a stronger signal.

I bought a brand new in the box K800i from eBay for £35. It's Vodafone branded but unlocked.
I will be using it the same way as I did with my G700: paired together with my iPod Touch 5th gen to the same BT headset.

Yes! ...And still looking for more phones (also some other brands too).
My Ericsson collection, with exception for the T28 all phones work. The T28 worked well for many years but suddenly wouldn't start or taking charging, a new T28 is coming soon, sadly it will be a black one. Wanted to keep my Ericsson triad (T28, R320 and R380) in uniform blue. Some unethical changing of cover on the black T28, is in the pipe-line
My collection phones
Top row from left:
Xperia Mini Pro - The keyboard is only in the way and having the irritating habit of folding out, when not wanted.
M1i Aspen - Way too small screen and keyboard for WinMo 6.5.3, nuff said.
J20i Hazel - One of my favorites, sadly showing signs of tear and wear after 2 years use at work, still working though.
W508i - Don't like the keyboard and I'm no fan of flip-phones.
G900 - Running UIQ but too small screen and a too weak processor to be of any use, should have chosen the G700 instead
Bottom row:
C510 - Lovely phone and fast in the menus, but my C510 have had a slice of the Apple Bend-Gate, cracked all over except for the screen.
K850 - Almost a perfect mobile, but should have been all touch screen or all keyboard.
T630 - Love this one, lived with it for several years.
W302 - Nice to look at, but it doesn't deliver, the T630 is almost as feature rich as the W302.
T700 - Lovely to look at and it does deliver, a great all-round, mine got scratches all over the screen. Still a favorite...
W880 - My day to day phone, would wish the mp3 archive handling was better (All my fault using a 16GB m2 card, when SE only guaranteed up to 4GB m2)
T707 - An all-round phone, used it as daily phone, but I don't like flip-phones.
Trying hard to add a S312 and a C902 to the collection.
Also looking for my first ever Nokia phone, the 5310 MusicExpress
Playing with the T630, adding themes by bluetooth, downloaded and sent from my ASUS TF103C Android tablet/netbook

Sold several of our older phones, as the collection was getting a bit out of hand and I wanted to keep it small. It's not brand-secific, just some phones we used and liked.
Our last SE's are now: K800i, K810i, K850i, C905i and Satio, all working and in excellent condition
