Plank most Xperia phones have a similar look too. Samsung have made the GS2 & others with more than just what you say is a plain design.

... which might carry some weight if you were an expert reviewer, but I think the brief amount of time you had with each (from my readings here), you were fairly hasty in general for dismissing each

still, it seems you have ended up with one device that I chose and recommended months ago so its not all bad

anyway, I'm just posting to say... lets get back to photo's now please

More photos taken in various ambience and occasions

So far I think Arc S does superbly for mobile uploads on Facebook, but that's about it. Thank God I took my daughter's kindergarten graduation photos with my X10 because for my nephew's graduation (last photo) and at a similar distance from my daughter's, it had little detail and the children's face can't be made out clearly in full crop. Perhaps I'll do a comparison of that later eventhough the environment was different just to see the detail

@Bono
You can't be serious. SE phone designs boring? SE's emphasis to garner sales based on design alone has always been bad strategy on their part as design is subjective & intangible. But their designs are hardly boring mate

No mode sorry I never meant boring I meant quite a few look similar like Neo,Play & Pro for instance. The Arc S in white is one if the best looking phones. Anyway nice photos they come out fairly well indoors. I like the sunset on the tower blocks shot. And the shot of city at night. The very first shot if you look at the white car on the left that's where you can see a lot of colour noise

Interesting point there, however understandably at ISO 1600 that's the kind of image I was talking about where you just point and shoot with auto scene. I did tinker however with the setting on this other shot where I did away with the noise you mentioned at ISO 500 meaning there's still hope on this baby if just get their act together

True but they are still good shots without a doubt. You know how to get the best from a phone camera even when the camera not quite upto scratch. EDIT: Now looking at them on my pc I see that the shot of the children's party indooors is an excellent shot!!

I was just going to say that actually. The dreaded corner softness & blur.

..............very nice

mode. i do think your Arc S behaves slightly better indoor/lowlight then X10.

however, Arc is better indoor (outdoor) then Arc S and X10 to.

top 3 Sony , best all-round camera

¤ C905
¤ Arc
¤ X10 mini

yes.........c905 still leads in best(natural) sharpness, softness & colour
