Go to Developers Options, turn off both Animation scales and you have the
fastest rom out there with CM9.Very impressive.

With an S2 you are SAFE. Only Siyah v3.2.6 had the brick bug because it was based on Korean sources. All other S2 kernels are safe.

Since I always on a regular basis switch roms Ive decided to give the dual boot option a try.CM9 and MIUI.Watching a YouTube video tutorial on how to do it but I was just wondering if there is anything else I need to know before I dive into this.Mainly the problems (if any) that come along with doing a dual boot on the s2.

Anyone here dual booting?

So far so good.Dual booting between my two favourite roms at the moment.MIUI & CM9.

Heres a nice video tutorial if anyone is interested in dual-booting on their S2.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGfHjz-4hQw

Its a pretty simple procedure.

I've seen the whats working/whats not working for the GS3 Jellybean port and it still looks like they have a way to go.That whats not working column still has way to many items in it.Will keep an eye and ear open.

The CM9 RC1 feels complete.Hard not to like it.Its a nice small 138mb download. It's become my primary rom.

Miui I've made my secondary rom.Going to keep updating it every Friday to see what changes there are but at least this way I can always have two roms going at the same time and not have to choose between them.

Resurrection Remix has fallen off my radar but if Jellybean does come to the S2 I'll put money on Westcrip bringing it to us first.Keep an eye on that thread. That man is fast out of the blocks.Look how quickly he brought us ICS.

Overall still mighty chuffed with my GS2. with the knowledge that we have another Android update to play around with.Bring on the JELLYBEAN!

Tsepz/Hobbs, The Samsung galaxy nexus which has similar specs to the SGS2 including dual core and 1gb of ram is to be one of the first phones to get JB. Therefore it stands to reason that we shall see it on the SGS2. I will wait for it.

I am fairly happy with SGS2 right now as I have most things that the SGS3 has.

Anyone tried out the new floating browser overskreen in the play store?

When last have you guys cleaned up your internal SD card.My card was sitting at 3GB available and after a massive clean up I now have 9GB's.Its amazing how much junk gets left behind after installing/uninstalling apps, changing roms, making Titanium backups ect.

Yes. I went f;om about 3 as well to 9gb on my internal storage. I couldn't figure it out at first how all that storage could be missing after I had removed so such.
How did you know what to clean up?

You've just got to take your time and go through it all methodically. If you are unsure of something just leave it there until you can find out what it is.

The speed at which these developers are cooking up roms and updating those rom tells me that JB is just around the corner for us S2 users.Just be patient. It will come in good time.I'm not trying anything at the moment until a fully working JB is available.
