Great news - I'm hoping the orange version will become available at the same time but that's some price drop - now less than half the original price, plus. Sony are gearing up for the holiday season by launching lots more gaming content in the coming months.

Thats great news it will complete the PLAY, which is otherwise a realy good multimedia smartphone.
Seems you're very happy with yours Goldenface, any issues with it?

Yeah, me too I seem to be talking away to myself in this thread most of the time 
No issues at all right now.
I used to have a bug a while back whereby I had a little bit of trouble unlocking the phone while it was in it's dock but not any more.
Still as solid as ever and the gaming is just ace - reckless getaway is great fun.

Does the Play have mineral glass like the others?? Some have said it does not.

I don't think it has - it has the same toughened 'glass' as the other Xperias I guess, although it's not as tough as the one on my X10, there are some minor scratches but nothing Displex wouldn't get rid of.
I'll be going for the orange version when it arrives, (hopefully that too will only be £199 as posted above) as there will be a alot more content coming from Sony in the future.

Question about the Xperia Play/4G. does it use the BST-41 battery, same as the Xperia x10?
4-in Multi-touch Screen? Skype with video calls(Front facing camera)?
is there a 4G version unlocked available, for T-mobile USA?

If you got a black Xperia Play & it smudges too much at the back just buy a white back cover. It won't look that odd. EDIT: I decided to purchase an Xperia Play from Clove website for £202  For some reason I took a liking to it & at a bargain price now. Expansys sold out their £199 stock already none more due for 10 days!! Expansys were showing 1 to 5 in stock @ £199 then an hour later they were gone. Maybe the Play is popular but people thought it was too expensive.
