I like the name "Arc HD". Is it confirmed thats the name? Hope they keep it

Different HW, different proportions, different design, there is no similarity between Arc and Nozomi. I think name will begin with "c" or "e" letter (according to alleged 1st official pic leak).

HTC Desire and Desire HD. How similar are those two? There countless other examples. Think the point of continuing a name is to MARKET a device as an upgrade

Well, the Desire and Desire HD are actually pretty similar; same internal chipset. The main difference is the size.

That said, the Sensation and Sensation XL are completely different (the XL not even using the same processor/chipset).

We are still talking about Sony Ericsson, did U ever seen they used same name for successor? OK, there was something like this: X10 mini -> mini, X10 mini pro -> mini pro, arc -> arc S, neo -> neo V (camera downgrade). But that's all. They all call Nozomi as Arc HD becouse they don't know how to call it.

I hope this isn't sony ericssons/sony flagship for 2012. So much wasted space, specification good only if released immediately after announcement, controversial design and usability decisions. They should release it asap before true 2012 flagships appear

Only as far as the Sensation is concerned; in the case of the Desire HD, it literally was a larger version of the same device, more or less. If the LT26 is called the Xperia Arc HD, it's not really the same case as the Desire.

Besides, this doesn't have an Arc shape. Why the hell would they have the word "Arc" in its name, then?

I looks a bit chunky to me compared to the lovely design of the Arc. Would be interested to see the actual dimensions.

Where has the notification LED gone? Is it incorporated into the button bar or is it next to the earpiece, i.e. like the X10?

If it's anything like the Ray, it will be a part of the clear plastic.

Non-removable battery, no xenon flash, microSim, seem pretty height... Again and again disappointed about SE... We'll be in 2012, come on SE...
