Yeah, the maps are free and there's absolutely no waiting whilst maps load as they are stored on the phone like you said.
It explains it in the video preview : HTC Desire HD

That start up time is very very impressive, look at this phone boot test

Batt life must be standard for all hTCs as I get the same
Outta my Wildfire.

Lol btw getting hold of these hasnt changed then?

Desire was the same and it took me a while to even
Get myphone.

Seems networks only want to give them away with cpntracts
To not sell them directly as handset onlys lol

Really are you 100% on that? lol

reason I say is that when the Wildfire came out they had it instore on the label for 179.99
or so was the Sim free price when I went to buy it they told me alot of crap!

oh madam it was the last one instore and someone had rang up for it yeah right!

you have to watch them be warned

Nice deal too and Carphone do an option at nine months you can return the handset a
they pay off the contract and you get a new deal. Nice. Its a gorgeous device I very nearly did not bother. Who said I would be sick of it by nine months

Oh my god this phone is the business its amazing. Mate I am in a contract I thought about it carefully and I am dead happy. Honestly its a stunning device. Better than iPhone, I cannot afford to be bored with it and also mate there is so much to do on this phone you cannot get bored. EDIT: Beautiful device I knocked HTC like I did the iphone but this is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the iphone imo. It feels so nice but I got so much playing around with it so much to explore on it. Don't think I ever seen so much on a mobile device so many features & things I keep finding

Camera is fast very fast. Screen is gorgeous and is readable in sunlight. I love the texting its so easy on the huge screen have fallen in love with this device.

Hey Bonovox....i got one of these last week and you are right its a cracking device. Sold my iphone 4 and im not really missing it. Compared to the SAMSUNG Galaxy S its a different ball game.........however do you not find the external speaker a complete waste of time. The original Desire had a poor external speaker but the HD is terrible. What do you think ?

Regards

Craig
