recent Samsung phones like Galaxy S and Wave have very good battery life, just check gsmarena's blog and you will find the battery tests |

Android ones are any better
Galaxy S looks promising, has 1500mAh battery. Might see if I can find some "real world, daily use" battery life figures. Desire is nice too, but Galaxy is looking to have a better camera from what I've seen.
This is for you

iPhone 4, I'm not saying this just because I love apple stuff, but im saying this because, its smaller, it looks better, its noticed , it many not be as think but more of a pleasure in hand and runs ios 4.

OK I now have the Samsung Galaxy S replacing my X10 which again like every single phone I buy goes tits up. So far eveything is amazing & not one single issue right out of the box. As for signal no problems at all & when held yes it only drops one bar I will admit previous Samsung models had poor signal but not this one they have improved on everything. The phone is beautiful & lightning fast. Had too many issues with the X10

I disagree! I'm currently checking out a Desire, and the only phone I ever used that had a worse battery life was the iPhone 3g! On the other hand: Samsung's Wave I used had prob'ly the best battery life of any full toucchscreen device I ever used. |

It was alot of Samsung's earlier non smartphone models which had poor batteries. In my experience they have improved but again at the end of the day if you are going to hammer your smartphone everyday running endless updates & apps with a huge screen & things like Wi Fi running any battery will still need a daily charge. Though like me I don't run 20 things at once on my smartphone as I don't need to so my battery lasts longer. Some may say then why do I need a smartphone. The answer to that is I just want one for the things I can do when I want & enjoy extra things to do on my mobile but at the same time I am not the heavy ten apps running at once user. OK I am rambling now...............................

Hang on, the Desire has a 1400mAh, and from experience, once you have trained the battery it is superb!

Well, I went for the Galaxy S in the end, had it just over a week, and so far very impressed. Battery life is very good, so no complaints there either.

That UI layout looks very familiar. Wonder which phone inspired it? Does it also have a capacitive touchscreen with kinetic scrolling and pinch to zoom?

pffft...
even the snapdragon manufacturers said a couple of days ago Froyo oughta "improve on the Desire's disappointing battery performance"...

Go for the Sammy,
or just wait abit and see what the White iP4 is like perhaps
Apple will have sorted the few probs out in that one
btw ive seen both and had a quick run thru,
both have great displays anyway
