2.05 Mbits/second to stationary devices.
384 Kbits/second for slowly moving devices, such as a handset carried by a walking user.
128 Kbits/second for fast moving devices, such as handsets in moving vehicles.

Really? Can you post your source for this info as I have never heard of variable speeds based on movement.
AFAIK, You get the same data speed from the same cellsite no matter what speed your travelling at. As you hand over from cellsite to cellsite there may be a slight interruption to the data flow but then it carries on.
3G UMTS is rated at 384kbps
3.5G HSPA can come in speeds of 1.8, 3.6 or 7.2Mbps down and 384kbps up.
3.5G HSPA+ can come in speeds of 7.2, 10, 14.4, 21 or 42Mbps down and 2.0Mbps up.
3GPP LTE is being tested by Verizon Wireless in the US at maximum speeds of 40-50Mbps down and 20-25Mbps up.
Of course these are maximum speeds and the actual speed you get will rely on the type of technology used in the celltower, the type used in your handset, the network traffic at the time, the terrain (open/hilly/buildings) where you're located, the weather conditions, interference from other electrical and wireless devices, etc... It's surprising we get any reception at all really.

Another advantage is the fact that 3G allows for simultaneous voice and internet data transmission. You can begin loading a web page, send an MMS and make a voice call and none will interfer with the other, unlike 2G.

With 3G connection on C902 -> 150 - 160 KB/s via Bluetooth (PAN).

i thinks your phone support for 3g+ or 3.5g or hsdpa
that different

if i get 3.5g signal, i can get speed up to 300KBps. because this speed the fastest isp in my country (for isp ist)
but. with limited area that coverage 3.5 signal

Yes, C902 supports HSDPA, but then I haven't HSDPA coverage - only 3G (UMTS) network coverage.

The benefits of 3G:

3G gives faster HSDPA internet access, it gives better results when watching YouTube or viewing heavy media websites.

3G also gives you the ability to use features such as Mobile TV, Video Calling and better results when connecting to Wi-Fi. Mobile TV and Video Calling can only be used with a 3G connection, but Wi-Fi can be used without 3G, but connection will drop more often.

Gaming online is also much much faster and easier with 3G as you get a higher signal, you also have better syncing with E-Mail too, and of course receiving and sending calls and texts is also faster and with 3G you will get less connectivity errors.

In some cases 3G gives better signal.

I used to get dropped calls in my basement when on 2G with my old W580 phone, but now when I use my K850/W760 on 3G, I never get dropped.

3g is not that good on a best signal interface you'd roughly get around 60kb/s with 3g coverage. Although it was developed mainly for video calling and high speed downloading. Hsdpa/3.5g is one of the most succesfull i've seen. Youd manage to get crisp and crystal clear youtube hd streamed videos without a lag. And its most definitely the best without doubt for gaming online or mass data downloading. But then cell c (in south africa) released hsdpa plus. Allowing us to get super speeds of up to 21.7mb/s. Which is what recommend if u have cell c. Other than that hsdpa is better recommended in all terms of data usage.

I was going to ask this question.

Anyway, I do understand that 3G network is faster and more responsive with a better quality in all terms. Also can be used for video calling and TV. Gaming online and streaming music and videos becomes far more better in all terms.

I do know few applications that I'm going to use when my 3G is activated. Like XiiaLive Shoutcast Radio, News applications (videos+photos), Dolphin Browser HD (web browsing), Youtube, Trillian (msn messenger), Skype, Torrents, Market and Misc applications that needs internet

All this I do with my EDGE network too. Besides Youtube, Watching videos on applications, Streaming music and video, XiiaLive Shoutcast Radio (24kbps).

For a fact I do know I'm going to be able to watch Live TV and cover all the things that I mentioned above. Also I will use to tether when am not around wifi with my laptop.

Is it really worth to shift from EDGE to 3G for Youtube, Streaming music and videos, Watching TV?

Ofcourse I do know for a fact that it depends on an individual but how 3G has helped you? That's my question

Thank you!
